NANJING, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- China's space-tracking ship Yuanwang-5 returned to port Monday after completing three monitoring missions in the Pacific Ocean.

The ship, which returned to a port in east China's Jiangsu Province, operated for 82 days at sea, sailing over 18,000 nautical miles. During the voyage, it carried out maritime monitoring of the Chang'e-5 mission along with Yuanwang-6, another space-tracking ship.

Yuanwang-5 has operated at sea for 223 days in 2020, with total voyage measuring over 510,000 nautical miles.

After docking at the port, crew members will rest, examine the facilities and replenish supplies for upcoming missions.

I saw Pakistans 😘 Karachi base station was used in the landing. Does anyone have more intel on this one? Was this the Cospas Sarsat ground receiving station? I heard there was some BeiDou related one as well. Are those the same or a different station?

NANJING, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Space-tracking ship Yuanwang-5 departed from a port in east China's Jiangsu Province on Tuesday for a maritime monitoring mission in the Pacific Ocean.

Before this voyage, the crew members have examined onboard facilities and replenished their supplies for the upcoming mission, after the ship returned from a mission on March 29.

Yuanwang-5, China's third-generation space-tracking ship, has completed 73 missions at sea, including maritime tracking of the Shenzhou spacecraft, the Chang'e lunar probe and BeiDou satellites.

ABOARD YUANWANG-6, June 21 (Xinhua) -- China's Yuanwang-6 space-tracking ship returned to its homeport on Monday after completing its telemetry, tracking and command (TT&C) tasks for the Tianzhou-2 cargo spacecraft and Shenzhou-12 manned spaceship missions.

Yuanwang-6, China's third-generation space-tracking ship, was at sea for 29 days, sailing more than 5,000 nautical miles for the two missions.

On May 29, China launched Tianzhou-2. The cargo freighter, carrying supplies, equipment and propellant, successfully docked with the space station core module Tianhe on May 30.

On June 17, China successfully launched Shenzhou-12, with three astronauts on board for space station construction.

Yuanwang-6 has provided vital communication between the spacecraft and the ground.

When the Shenzhou-12 spaceship, atop a Long March-2F carrier rocket, reached the TT&C range of Yuangwang-6 sailing in the Pacific Ocean at the time, the space-tracking ship discovered and captured the signals of the spaceship promptly.

The tracking vessel helped Shenzhou-12 undertake several key moves, including orbit entry and unfolding of solar panels, providing significant data support for the missions.

As the only maritime TT&C point in the Shenzhou missions, Yuanwang-6 sent several key instructions to the spacecraft and sent back astronauts' images and voice information, according to Yang Bianjiao, captain of Yuanwang-6.

Yuanwang-6 has completed six maritime TT&C missions this year.
