China now doesn't give a sh!t about the top500.

One single Chinese supercomputer is more powerful than all American supercomputers in that list combined.

Is there an official source for this, because its worthless without one. I can claim I ran a sub 10sec 100m, but it means nothing without an official clocked time.

You can't win without showing up to the race.

China has three exaflops machines so far, and they were all certified by the Gordon Bell Prize in 2021, not by the top500.

Oceanlight's performance is comparable to the Frontier with the Tianhe-3 a bit more powerful than both.

However, China has now invented a new powerful AI algorithm that allows the Oceanlight to reach a performance of 5.3 exaflops which is 5 times as much as the Frontier.

Frontier is a 2 exaflop machine once it fully matures. Aurora is another 2 exaflop machine currently being installed.

China didn't submit their machines because of worrying about sanctions. Those entities were already sanctioned. They didn't submit because they knew Frontier was a more powerful machine.

And an AI algorithm can't increase the performance of a supercomputer from 1 exaflop to 5 exaflops. Thats impossible and laughable. Not to mention there's no official source.

Back in 2021, China didn't want to agitate the US too much, so it went to the Gordon Bell Prize instead of top500 because both Oceanlight and Tianhe-3 used the 14nm chips that its lithography machine wasn't still fully controlled by China.

Now China will turn the table on the lithography machine in the next couple of years, so expect China's new supercomputers making a full new comeback in the top500 list by the near future.

Once China manages to beat ASML, there will be not even a damn scratch the US can do to China's semiconductor industry.

Frontier was fully installed by Nov 2021 but issues with the Interconnect kept it off the Nov list. Aurora should be on the list by the end of this year, and El Capitan next year.

Then the US will move to 10-20 exaflop systems by 2025+ and 100 exaflop by 2030+.

Thanks to the AI algorithm harvested from a data pool of a 1.4 billion population, China's new AI algorithm is powerful that has already turned the Oceanlight from a 1.3 exaflops into a 5.3 exaflops machine.

This maverick trick has absolutely nullified the semiconductor sanctions on the China from the entire western camp (US + Europe + Japan + South Korea + Taiwan).

Once China beats down ASML, the chain will break down.

And China will single-handedly beat down the entire western camp in this semiconductor war.

The weakest link is now ASML, and they are in full panic mode right now, because they now realize that China is serious to destroy them at any cost in order to win this semiconductor war.

China will absolutely destroy ASML in a rigorous and predatory competition just like what they did to Canon and Nikon.

Huh ? What's an algorithm to do with crystal electrical ops? Have they found a way to alter crystal properties or characteristics of electricity algirithmically ? If they have, that's the end of physics as we know it.

Can you kindly provide a link or some detailed paper on this? I'm suspecting you may have mis worded what they said

Any which way, it is a great accomplishment, not taking anything away from it.

Frontier has demonstrated 6.86 exaflops on the HPL-AI benchmark

Frontier outperforms it at 6.86 exaflops on the HPL-AI benchmark. See my previous post

It is not operational until late 2022 or early 2023.

Oceanlight was operational since March 2021, and fall 2021 for Tianhe-3.
