KARACHI: President Mamnoon Hussain here on Monday said that China would sell helicopters to Pakistan and these would prove to be an effective tool in the war against terrorism. He said that China would also supply submarines to Pakistan.

Why would China purchase JF-17's from Pakistan??

I would think, that our President dont know anything our any details of the Pakistani military purchase-programm from China, he did just hear that Pakistan will buy more or produce more Jf-17 Thunder with the Help of China and than he starts to tell BUllshit like this ". china is very reliable source for any military equipment right now for PA , we need attack helicopters , that will give air supports to our ground forces when they start operations in NW , we can not relay on US anymore , plus I cant say about turkey , that might be expensive ...

1st its possible that news is wrong regarding jf-17. however if its true it would be similar to situation where some parts of F-16s used even by USAF were build by countries involved in the programme.

I am still not sure about which helicopter Pakistan wants. There is another thread people saying our defence minister is going to turkey to ink attack helicopter deal while our president is saying china will give us helicopters. Is there any chance Pakistan is going to venture into two projects at same time? I hope Pakistan will join Turkish attack helicopter project which will allow us to expand our defense equipment portfolio in different directions.

Why would China purchase JF-17's from Pakistan??

If you guys do have Jf-17 production facilities,its pretty obvious that china would want to get pak made Jf-17 provided they decides to equip their AF with Jf-17s.
