:enjoy:

What incident? J-15 related incident? You mean China should make up an incident just to please you lot? :D

You insist on believing in one foreigner’s interpretation rather than 1.3 billion Chinese‘s understanding of the original text。

It is ok, you are free to choose what you WANT to believe.

They are so jealous of China success that they will just pick up any unverified misfortune report just to please themselves.

chinese are such a pathetic bunch. These guys are celebrating WS10 engines in a thread for condolence.. grow up ffs !

2 pilots died because they were not competent enough to land on the carrier.. why are u guys trying to hide the shame and boasting about a failure engine ?

if ws10 is that much successful why is it not used in J17 ?

There were no news about "2 pilots died because they were not competent enough to land on the carrier". We don't know what happened. But based on the Xinhua article, there was no crash landing on the carrier that killed any pilot. But merely two pilots had lost their life during the development of the carrier plane. The loss could have happened many years ago and just got reported now.

Fair enough .. All i am saying is maybe those pilots died during landing ( might be ) So lets not disrespect them with celebration of something else in same thread !

Now it has been confirmed it's a false news by official media

The original Xinhua report didn't even mention that the two killed were pilots, let alone pilots of carrier plane。

For all we can possibly gather from the text, the two killed could have been mechanic workers、cleaners etc and they could have died of a road accident。(No cause of death was mentioned)

The People's Daily article dated 09.09.2014 made it very clear that NO pilots were killed while trialing the J-15s。

If its not false news then Rest In Peace soldiers. Truly its a loss when you lose good soldiers but their determination to be in the armed force and fight for their country against forces of extreme power should be commended.

no need for China to continue this whole "we are superpower look at our Carrier BS"
Just relax in your god forsaken Foggy cities and let us control the seas....... it's not like we will "attack" you

No, Chinese test pilots have not been lost during carrier development.

Recently there have been news reports that PLANAF lost two test pilots during J-15 carrier testing and qualififcation. (here, and here)
http://china-defense.blogspot.com/2014/09/no-chinese-test-pilots-have-not-been.html
These reports are clearly wrong and based on a poor translation of a unit citation published for the China Flight Test Establishment (CFTE) flight test squadron at Xian: original Chinese news.
http://china-defense.blogspot.com/2014/09/no-chinese-test-pilots-have-not-been.html
Below is the full text of the unit citation.
A better translation of the citation text shows the loss of life is one item in a list of meritorious actions, two test pilots died in the history of that "Hero" flight test squadron, not associated with J-15 testing:
This citation notes that for a long time, the unit contributed to the development of national aviation and the construction of a powerful air force, officers and soldiers have always maintained a strong fighting spirit; actively exploring the theory involved in the design, test flight, successful completion of test flight missions, filling gaps in the aviation sector; consciously resisting the temptations, calmly facing the danger of death, and challenges of equipment and physiological limits, where two comrades lost their lives. Of note is the successful completion of the J-15 aircraft implementing landing and take off from the Liaoning ship, making a significant contribution to the task.
Specifically, achievements of that particular squadron cited includes testing the J-15, and also notes two test pilots have been killed in past from that squadron.

Additionally Global Times specifically denies that the deaths resulted from J-15 testing.
