China, Bangladesh defence relations reach ‘unprecedented heights’

1) BoB sea right was decided by the Hague Tribunal and it was not an unilateral Indian decision.
2) Whatever China does inSouth China Sea is not our proble. And why it will also be a problem of India. Ganye Manena Apni Morol?
3) China is not bullying any Muslim country.

India agreed to resolve the issue in international court instead of flexing muscle, which was an option. And India respected the verdict instead of, again flexing muscle. International court can not take up any case without the consent of the countries in question. That's the difference between us and China.

China is bullying....whether it is a Muslim country or not shouldn't matter unless you are one bigoted person.

Btw, Indonesia is a Muslim majority country with more than 87% Muslim population, and they are at the receiving end of China's bullying. Uighur Muslims within China is another example. However, it is awe-full to know that your conscience is selective on the basis of religion.

A classic case of bigotry.

You are lying. This honorable poet of Bengal was sick and the Delhi or Kolkata govt was not giving him any medical treatment. This is why Bangabanhu requested India to set him free of Indian shackle and allow to bring him to his Bengal in the east. Thank you India!!!

B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T !!

Kazi Nazrul spent Half of his youth in East Bengal and you can't loan anyone if he doesn't want to leave. Its funny that he chose Bangladesh over India as his last abode.

He accepted the request of Bangladesh out of pity, otherwise he remained a true Indian at heart till the end and spoke strongly against Islamism, which was the prime reason of creation of East Pakistan, and still thriving in Bangladesh.

Art Creativity in Ghotis is as rare as water in desert

We have significant numbers of both Ghotis and Bangals, and both are Bengalis, we can't be as sectarian as Bangladeshis even if we try.

Dhaka-Beijing defence relations have reached “unprecedented heights”, the Chinese embassy has said on the 89th founding anniversary of the People's Liberation Army (PLA).

The embassy on Wednesday hosted a reception on the occasion, drawing a select group of about 300 guests, including high-ranking army officers, diplomats, and academics.

Defence Attaché Senior Colonel Zhang Wei, in his welcome speech, highlighted the “steady and rapid progress” in China and Bangladesh military cooperation in recent years.

He said the relations were consolidated with “frequent high-level visits, continuously deepening pragmatic cooperation and fruitful cooperation in personnel training”.

He said the senior Chinese army leaders visited Bangladesh and they met President Abul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and chiefs of three services of Bangladesh Armed Forces.

“Both sides have agreed to maintain the current positive momentum of cooperation between the two armed forces, and to enhance cooperation and exchanges in all areas and levels to promote greater development of bilateral relations.”

The PLA Navy fleet arrived in Chittagong for the first time in the past three decades, taking part in a joint maritime drill with Bangladesh Navy.

That also played a “positive role” in promoting mutual trust and understanding between the two navies, and improving the capability of both sides to jointly respond to maritime threats and safeguard regional peace.

A number of high-level officials from the Bangladesh government and armed forces also visited China.

An increasing number of Bangladesh officers went to China for training and exchange, which plays “an important role in promoting our mutual understanding and cooperative relations.”

The Senior Colonel also appreciated Bangladesh's position on the South China Sea issues. Bangladesh believed that the disputes should be resolved through “negotiation and consultation by parties directly concerned.”

“China not only is a reliable and affordable source of weapons and equipment for Bangladesh armed forces, but also provides military technology and training,” the Senior Colonel said.

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have reached a series of consensus on bilateral relations, charting the course of development of bilateral ties.

With common efforts, the two sides will forge closer defence relations in the future, he said.

A growing number of high-level exchange visits, training programmes, joint exercises, defence procurement, security cooperation such as counter-terrorism, anti-piracy, peacekeeping cooperation, and disaster management would be the future areas of cooperation.

Stable and Independent Bangladesh can hurt India
I think India gets headache

Oh!! India is such a generous brute that it had to accept Hague verdict!! It did so because the other option would have brought trouble in the sea. China should learn a lesson from India how to bully its small neighbors like Bhutan, Nepal and BD. But, do not flatter yourself by comparing India with China. China is a big international power. India, whereas, is still fighting a war of nerves with smaller countries like Pakistan and Bangladesh.

The Chinese can outwit both the Americans and the Indians in one run.
It seems China is trying to outwitting India where it is vulnerable, that is Indian NE and NW borders. China is game playing by intruding into Ladakh, the Indian soft belly. This is happening when India is politicking against China in its southeast. Read the news below:

Chinese Incursion in Indian State of Uttarakhand
In-Depth Coverage
18:33 27.07.2016(updated 19:10 27.07.2016)

Chinese troops entered the state of Uttarakhand last week, the government confirmed on Wednesday.

The area where the incursion took place is a demilitarized international stretch of 80 sq km in Barahoti, part of the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The grazing area is claimed both by India and China and shepherds from both the sides are allowed to enter the area.

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat said he had flagged the matter with the central government after the incursion was reported.

The incursion was noticed when Indian officials went to measure the revenue line in that area. According to Defense Ministry sources, a team of officials went up to the Line of Actual Control between India and China near Barahoti when some Chinese soldiers suddenly appeared and signaled the Indian team to go back and said that it was their land.

"It is very worrying. I have been saying that border vigilance should be increased. It was a good thing that they didn't touch an important canal in that area," Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat told reporters.

He further added that, "I believe the government will take necessary cognizance."

Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju said that the government has asked the Indo-Tibetan Border Police, which guards the 3488 km Indo-China border from Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir to Arunachal Pradesh, to look into the matter.

"We need to see how deep into our territory they came," Kiren Rijiju added.

The state of Uttarakhand shares a 350 km long boundary with China. The 80 sq km area has been agreed by the two countries as disputed since 1957 and was to be sorted out by the two countries.

There had been similar attempts of Chinese soldiers to enter in that part of the Indian territory in the past. In 2013, then Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Vijay Bahuguna brought up the issue of Chinese violation of the international border at Barahoti after Chinese troops entered the area. Similarly, in 2013 and 2014 Chinese intruded into the Barahoti area.

India could have simply chose not to resolve the issue in the international court, forget about accepting the verdict. International court cannot take up any case without the consent of all the countries involved.

India only did it otherwise BD would have broken it's
co-operation with India and fully turned towards China.

There was no "niceness" here.

You are giving too much importance to your little country.

You are giving too much importance to your little country.

BD carries quite a geopolitical importance. The PDF @Rain Man is not here to accept the truth. Is not it the reason why Japan, China, India, USA and other major countries are wooing this little BD. Your NE is quite vulnerable without a BD cooperation. Westerners do not want China and BD to split your NE into two. So, India, keep on begging our favor.

Do you not know why he belittles BD?

He has little power as a Bengali in India. A successful BD would call into question what on earth West Bengal is doing being part of Hindu India.

These indians !

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

They brag about controlling Indian Ocean and it looks like it will take them 15 years to get their first indigenous (well the hull at least) aircraft carrier into service, while China would beat them by bringing the 50% larger Type-001A into service earlier from starting 5 years later!!!
