BYD Outsells Tesla in 2022, Delivering 1.86 Million Units, Mainly in China

Obviously much cheaper EV is going to outsell Tesla in China, even Honda/Toyota outsells Tesla. Chinese with money will prefer Tesla over BYD cars.

What more do you say? ? ? There is no such thing as Japanese cars in the electric car market. 85% of China's electric vehicle market belongs to Chinese brands, and the rest are brands such as Tesla and Volvo, and there are almost no Japanese cars.
 
LOL.. That is the best Tesla going to enjoy. 2023 will be even more brutal. Better sell your Tesla stock and take lost before further damage. They even need to give steep discount show how desperate times is, Stock price also reflect that.

It is the Chinese who implement those plans not American. See how BYD also easily ramp up their production. Clearly show its Chinese who innovate. Tom Zhu even need to be send to teach white American a few things in US Tesla. Obviously, it a Chinese improvise method. Nothing to do with American.

Teslas growth story remains. Record quarter after record quarter. Even with price cuts in China, Tesla is still at 20% margins. Meanwhile BYD is selling vehicles at $20K and earning no profits. BYD has done well to ramp and sell at volume, but they are the Xiaomi of the EV world. Little to no profits and caters to the lower class.

Tesla is the Apple of the EV world. Tesla needs to focus now on a $25-30K model, ramping Berlin and Texas, and releasing Cybertruck.

Btw, BYD also massed produced more EV than Tesla and even cheaper than Tesla Model 3. So it cannot be a white American invention, right?

The Tesla factory in Fremont was built in 1984 by Toyota/GM for their "Nummi" joint venture. So they are working in a building designed almost 40 years ago. Tesla has said this building is not designed well for their production.

Using all the lessons they learned from dealing with a 40 year old building they have built 3 new ones in Shanghai (2020), Texas (2022), and Berlin (2022).

These new buildings were not designed by the Chinese. :omghaha:

Keep dreaming. Even hybrid is considered EV, They can run on battery and not gasoline is needed. BYD produced more and better than Tesla, this is fact. You can keep deluded yourself.

As for the factory, common sense tells you if the Giga factory is an American idea. Tom Zhu shouldnt be send to US to teach them a thing about mass production. You can keep pulling out those fake videos and delusion link. But common sense and fact tells you, all credit goes to Tom Zhu and Chinese team for chunking out mass Tesla Model 3.

Then why is there buyers for BYD Han? Its premium category more costly than Tesla 3. Must some evil CCP scheme that buy it up to support homegrown companies, right? :lol:

Even on BEV, BYD has the momentum. I won't be surprised if BYD takes the crown from Tesla next year. Besides, what's the point to discounting a PHEV as an EV if they offer at least 50-80 miles pure battery range? Tesla may have sold a lot of more cars if it offered PHEV models.

It was a Chinese company that came up with the world's first production PHEV model on its own in 2008, way earlier than Chevrolet and Toyota. The company is BYD. “Always” is too big a word to use when it comes to innovation.

And now China's success is measured by that of the collective "West". Interesting!
