Peshawar BRT will be adding x86 new buses into its fleet.
The daily ridership has now crossed 250K user.

New buses will arrive soon & will run on priority basis, from Pishtakhara to Mall Road & Chamkani to Malik Saad station.

BRT Peshawar's 86 new environment friendly, hybrid buses have been completed, ready to depart for Pakistan.

Buses will soon be dispatched from the sugar manufacturing plant. New buses are expected to arrive in Pakistan soon.

After the inclusion of new buses, the total number of buses in BRT Peshawar will come to 244. More routes will also be activated after the increase in the number of buses.

More than 2.5 lakh passengers travel to Zoo Peshawar on a daily basis - increasing number of buses will further improve the travel facilities provided to these passengers.

62 new buses of BRT Peshawar have reached Pakistan from China.
New buses are currently at Port Qasim which will be sent from Karachi to Peshawar after customs clearance.

By joining these buses system, the total number of buses in BRT will increase to 220.

TransPeshawar has released its annual performance report for the year 2022, which claims that the BRT system witnessed a ridership of about 74 million, which is 45% higher than the 51 million ridership figures of the year 2021.
Zu Peshawar has hit a record total ridership of 130 million since its inception in August 2020. There has also been a 30% increase in female ridership.
The number of daily passengers has hit a peak figure of 270,000, of which about 70,000 are women. About 400,000 Zu Cards were issued this year, which brings the total number of issued cards to 1.4 million.

Currently every route bus arrive in 2-3 minutes intervals. This will be needed to further reduced because buses are really packed. Also, KP just approved 6 more feeder routes (which adds almost 60-80 km more to the brt). Hence TransPeshawar is again planning to order more buses.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s (KP) Minister of Transport and Mass Transit, Malik Shah Mohammad Khan formed a special committee on Monday for the establishment of a dedicated security force for the TransPeshawar Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service.

A high-level meeting presided over by Khan, decided to form a special force composed of private security operatives and police officers to protect the 27-kilometer BRT route. The managing director of Urban Mobility Authority will lead the special committee tasked with forming the BRT security force.

The committee consists of representatives from the departments of home and tribal affairs, transportation, the secretariat, police, and traffic police. It would devise solutions to ensure the safety of BRT passengers
