BREAKING NEWS: Nirbhay, Long-Range Subsonic Cruise Missile Successfully Test-Fired

i am wondering how deep this thread can go in shit if we start babur vs nirbhay :woot::partay::lol:

We'll just point out that Babur is basically a Chinese missle.....

Actually tomahawk is yesteryear's technology, and we are struggling with it (2 failiure out of 3). US has developed much more deadly agm 129 & agm 86 for their airforces. Now I am start believing pak's claim of brahmos is actually a Russian missile with Indian paint job.

Subsonic cruise systems are extremely complex. Terrain hugging and detailed waypoint navigation are extremely difficult to master- arguably more difficult than Brahmos. These failures only show a complex system trying to work itself out. Lack of failure means someone else has seen the fails and fixed it :).

beta jee is gaoon main 1 lakh chutiyeee basty hain or her aik ka apna style hai ke mery abaa ka missile aysa hai ery abba ka wesa hai xhor de ye baat bhool ja warna thread ka wo haal ho ga jo sunny leon ka film ke end main hota hai
Lolz thanx sorry ok latter I will ask you the same

Nirbhay, Long-Range Subsonic Cruise Missile Successfully Test-Fired

Nirbhay, India’s long-range subsonic cruise missile from the Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Chandipur, off Odisha coast, was successfully test-fired on Friday.

This was the third developmental trial of nuclear-weapons capable Nirbhay, which has an operational range of 1,000 km.

The first trial in March 2013 had to be aborted midway after the missile deviated from its pre-designated trajectory. The second trial held on October 17, 2014, however, was a resounding success with the missile demonstrating its manoeuvring ability and zeroing in on the target through a steep dive at the pre-designated impact point in the Bay of Bengal.

Similar to Tomahawk

Stated to be similar to the American Tomahawk, the indigenously-developed low-altitude flying Nirbhay can evade radar detection.

The two-stage missile initially lifts off like a rocket and once the first stage gets separated, the wings get deployed as it cruises like an aircraft with the thrust given by turbo-prop engine. The loitering missile has the capability to search and pick its target.

During the last trial, the missile cruised at a speed of 0.7 Mach and successfully navigated 15 waypoints, while manoeuvring towards the pre-designated target of more than 1,000 km after a flight of 70 minutes.

Pre-launch checks

Meanwhile Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) missile scientists have carried out pre-launch checks on Thursday. Top missile scientists told The Hindu that new manoeuvres would be tried during Friday’s mission as compared to the last trial.

The missile has been mainly developed by Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), Bengaluru, while Research Centre Imarat and DRDL from Hyderabad also contributed in its development.

Nirbhay cruise missile fails midway
Bhubaneswar: India's indigenous surface-to-surface cruise missile Nirbhay nose-dived midway after it test fired in Odisha on Friday.

According to Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) sources, the missile was launched from the Chandipur Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Balasore district at 11.38 am.

Although the take off was successful amid repeated disruptions of countdown, the missile missed the target after 11 minutes after it was test fired, said the sources.

The missile had a range of 750-1,000 km. But it nose-dived after covering 128 km in the Bay of Bengal.

The missile's first test on March 12, 2013 had also failed as it too fell after 20 minutes of flight. The second test on October 17, 2014 was also not up to the mark as it could not maintain a low height.

The cruise missile is expected to supplement the Indo-Russian joint venture supersonic cruise missile BrahMos, which can carry warheads up to 290 km.

The two-stage missile has a length of six metres, a diameter of 0.52 m, a wing span 2.7 m and a launch weight of about 1,500 kg.

Babur and Ra'ad are perfectly executing low diving maneuvers at the height of 10 meters. Even you can see the shadow of missile on the ground.

Thats all the different that you need to know and which matters
No just wanna know is the development of Subsonic cruise missile is how much challenging and difficult. Because seems DRDO is having a tough time and long road, but Pakistan have already done that and if you have followed its development, what are the key technological break through that have to be made which are the most difficult and challenging.

And then we will just point out how ignorant those people are who dont even know the differences b/w Pakistani and chinese LACM's

And we'll point out that making a cruise missile is no joke and no way you'll master that before we do. Just fact.

Pakistan tested first missile without navigation. Propulsion and testing engine components as well as aerodynamic profiles. Then from the second test in 2006 we started testing our Navigation systems. It took 4-5 years to perfect that. Then came the Submarine launch version testing. When Babur started testing from a ground based tube. Then the next step came. When babur fired from Multiple launch vehicle which can fire 3 babur at once.

Then the last test came which ope-rationalized babur in 2013 when Babur was able to fly at an height of 30-50 meters and hit the target with 6 meters accuracy. If I remember correctly

And we'll point out that making a cruise missile is no joke and no way you'll master that before we do. Just fact.

And then we will point out that how ignorant you are about the developmental cycle of Babur and how 2 years ago Babur was made operational.

Making cruise missile is not a joke. It is scientists, media and average indians like you who are joke and make such claims like you are some sort of vedic scientists.

Nirbhay missile fails; mission aborted mid-way

Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) told OneIndia that the missile that was launched today morning had to be terminated mid-way after it failed to stick to the designated trajectory. As reported by OneIndia earlier, today's was the third flight trial of Nirbhay conducted from Launch Complex-III of Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur (near Balasore) off Odisha coast. "It flew for around 10 minutes only after which the mission had to be terminated," an official said. During the launch, a Sukhoi was on chase duties. More updates awaited.... OneIndia News

And I would point out to you the hilarity that you claim a country that makes every types of missile (ICBM, IRBM, A2A, Sub LAunched K Series, Anti Tank etc.) is somehow going to be upended by country that has a limited program and where claims of Chinese origin are rampant. No. You can't make a cruise system before we can. 8-)

You can keep using words like 'ignorant etc.'

Wonder how they will Induct aura stealth drone in 2020 time frame, the way we struggling with navigation tech of an tomahawk type missile I think it's almost impossible for DRDO to do test flight aura.

Continue being a retard. Remain in 90 percent of that population which being classified as idiots. I would be happy to see you there. Dont ever jump into 10 percent intelligent population.

For these guys R&D seems joke, without doing proper basic tests as reported by many media, these idiots just hurried for a test like they want to fire some missile today and bite the dust.
