Bharat Heavy Electrical offers to set up 2,000MW power plants

Pakistan-Electricity – total installed capacity: 19.5 GW

The electricity sector in India had an installed capacity of 205.34 Gigawatt (GW) as of June 2012, the world's fifth largest.[1] Captive power plants generate an additional 31.5 GW.
total makes 236 GW

11 times your production!!!!!

S but yet not enough to power our own people yet...
We will first power our people, eliminate power cuts in states like TN n kerala, then think bout selling bout pakistan...

Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd. (BHEL)

Turnover per year = US$ 10 billion :smitten:

Profit = US$ 1.35 billion :smitten:

Total power plant manufacturing capacity = 20,000 MW each year :woot:

Order book as of today = US $ 25 billion :woot: :woot:

BHEL has been exporting products and services in power and industry segment for approximately 40 years. As of June 30, 2011, BHEL have exported its products and services to more than 70 countries. :yahoo:

As of June 30, 2011, we had cumulatively installed generating capacity of over 8,500 MW outside of India in 21 countries, including Malaysia, Iraq, UAE, Egypt and New Zealand, and had approximately 5,200 MW in 19 countries under various stages of execution.

Still insufficiant for your population. Bridge the gap first.

Why not build the same for your own power starved people first. Pakistan has higher standards of workmen ship then accepting any crap india can offer.

Why not ask that to your PM first who has approached us? it is simple business.

BTW the solar and wind technology that is mentioned here is already implemented in the state of Gujarat which had negligible power woes. :D

So you'd technically be supplied with something that your arch-nemesis and our hero (Modi) ratified.

Bhel is a beast, but i read somewhere that their powerplant production capacity is 30000Mw per year, not 20000.

We're a billion people with power constraints across a huge country. you guys are almost a tenth of our population and still suffer from power cuts.

If India had your population size, every home would be having 9 times surplus power to use.

So don't compare without reason. :coffee:

I'm sure all Pakistanis know, how crucial are power plants.

Why shall we co-operate with Indians? they have nothing to offer!

Why shall we not Pakistani contractors?

This is dilemma with Pakistan.... too many moles.

Truth is Indians have learned the advantages of solar power systems from debates on this forum and they want to sell us their scrap! Which they do not need any more!

Pakistan shall discourage oil/gas/coal power plants, it eats out large chunk of forex.

BTW... Do you know govt. is blocking oil and payments of high efficiency IPPs and supplying oil and making payments to low efficiency IPPs.

I was also told by a Pakistani investor, who wanted to build a solar power system, but after lot of blockades... he was conveyed the message... to invest some where else other than producing electricity.

Go visit any industry and ask them how the operate their Gensets, and you will know the truth behind this Indian drive.

NAMO also learned from PDF.

Does this means we shall award contracts to bharti contractors?

What sort of bench mark is this?

Govt. does not allow private sector to build power plants.... in some cases it is illegal.

You will go to jail if you build even 500kW solar power at your roof top.

Pakistan sugar mills always have surplus energy but govt. do not allow them to to distribute electricity for free to the neighbouring villages.

I always, knew Indian govt. was behind this game... to capture the market on unfair terms.

Courtesy calls for helping our neighbors in there hour of need, to ask if we can be of any help, but it seems that whenever we do the same, we are bashed/mocked & our neighbors seems our courtesy as a conspiracy of India against it's neighbors, it's better we let them live whichever way they like & mind our own business.

yeah it is a good chance for us, when cheap bharat country people will come we will freeze their assets

The link is not working.
