Bangladesh needs free, fair polls for GSP plus facility: EU

@Homo Sapiens

I have nothing for or against IK or PDM, nor am I asserting that IK was removed contrary to the principles of Pak Constitution. But a country interfering in another country's democratic affairs is contrary to the principles of democracy.

Regards
If you detest ''interference'' so much then Tell me why Indian lobby groups try to influence American election? This is a murky water should not be seen as right or wrong. If other countries can influence some other country's govt. through legitimate ways, it should not be counted as interference.

US may have desire to see Imran Khan go, after his position on Russia-Ukraine war, but it the Pak army and opposition politicians who with their desperate attempt to endear again to the Western World, choose parliamentary process to remove Imran Khan. After Pak army's double game in Afghanistan and other issues, relation with the West was seriously strained, which Pak army was eager to reverse. Removing Imran Khan by Pro-Western govt. was seen to be a way to make thaw in this direction. But for this to happen they did nothing illegal or outside of democratic norms.

Exactly! It's called double standard, and I've been observing BAL nature ( superiority complex , inferiority complex and intolerance) in a good numbers of PDF Pakistani guys!

When people suffer from such superiority complex ( and inferiority complex at the same time) , their judgment become clouded!

These guys have no clue what they are actually doing! Totally confused people!

No, it just means they want something which they couldn't convince Hasina to give.

Those of our Bangladeshi people who are cheering America as the champion of democracy should read a book or two by Noam Chomsky. He explains clearly how and why America doesn't want democracy as it's not in their interest.

All this democracy chant from the US is about gaining something from BD, they want something and haven't got assurance from Hasina to get it as yet. If they would do a regime change, they would ensure the new regime had agreed to give that 'something'.

Above is not to defend Hasina and BAL. Hasina and BAL are responsible for the destruction of democratic process in BD.
Yours is a very simple explanation and you avoided saying that democracy is absent in BD. It is not important what America’s position is on its own democracy.

The important point is the BAL party has no mandate to govern the country and our people are supported by all the Western countries that BD gets democracy back instead of leading towards a family enterprise.

If all these Western countries are making such noises it means the following:

1. They want a regime change.
2. SHW is working in the interest of the common man.

Both are inter-related.

Regards

Why do you think you as a BJP + fellow autocrat supporter have any standing to comment upon it?

You might be desensitized to your deep anti-democratic hypocrisy, suffice to say many Bangladeshis are not.

So please stop with the SHW hoo-haah (as though you know SHW better than Bangladeshis do), its cringe at best.

This time with your flavour of fearmongering of the west as though we need to hear it from some BJP guy in first place given what BJP has openly said towards us.

Autocrat enablers, loyalists and sycophants (wherever they are in world) only seem to learn reality when the blowback arrives....and the violence they sown is reaped by themselves.

So focus on your own state of affairs than coming here to repeat and assert same nonsense ad nauseum.

Otherwise your personality trait is exposed as typical Modi toady.

Bangladeshi bros who are doing lafa lafi, since their livelihoods are secured abroad and as such will not be affected when the western governments prop up an even more despotic puppet in Dhaka, will grow to regret it one day.

Whenever the west brings you freedom, whatever freedom is supposed to mean, your world is about to turned onto its head but sure continue clapping like simpletons, deliberately ignorant of Americas past record...

Spiting BAL is more important than the future of the country itself...

BAL has no mandate to govern the country - true and agreed.

BAL destroyed democracy in BD - true and agreed.

US wants to restore democracy and champion of democracy - untrue and don't agree.

If fair election takes place it will restore democratic process in BD - untrue and don't agree.

Other party or leader will be better than BAL - untrue and don't agree.

The US doesn't necessarily want to remove Hasina and bring someone else, neither does it have any interest in restoring democracy for the sake of it. The US does regime change for it's own interest in various countries. If 'democracy' suits then democracy it is, if autocracy in the form of military dictatorship or even a royal family suits then that's also fine.

US' need to "restore democracy" is driven by it's own interest, that is it wants something that Hasina is not willing to give. This statement can be misconstrued as Hasina being some kind of a benevolent leader working for the interest of the people. The true interpretation likely is that Hasina has a need for her and her party's interest to walk in the middle ground. I personally think the US wants Hasina to be completely in the US camp as part of it's Indo-Pacific strategy and dump the Chinese even if it is against BD interest. Hasina doesn't want to do that because of her own need of walking the middle ground so she has both US and China as friends and can use either as a fallback plan, not necessarily for the interest of the country itself. However, this is my personal opinion, I failed to see enough information in the public domain to understand the situation correctly.

If the US brings about a "free and fair election", you can be assured whoever will win had already agreed to give what the US wants. It may not be good for the country. Specially the crook Dr. Yunus is the last one we need as a leader.

Also the notion US intervention will restore the democratic process is incorrect. If you need foreign powers to intervene to ensure the democratic process, it just means there is no mature democracy in your country. So if we are being happy merely for the restoration of democracy, we are a loser there too.

Agreed with above.

Only positive coming out of this whole visa restriction saga is that the corrupted have gotten a bit of a scare knowing they are not invincible. I just hope that stops the looting to some extent.

But that's about it, any further action against in the form of economic preference denial or worse - sanctions, will only hurt the average people. Not the corrupted chamchas.

There may not be sanctions, I am not sure though. They will likely arm twist Hasina in giving what they want or just do a regime change through "free and fair election" and the new regime will be compliant, thus sanctions not being needed.

Yes it’s coming

One call from Washington, Canadians will do exactly what usa doing

The call comes from London.
Canada is a monarchy.

Although Washington has huge unofficial influence over Canada that's for sure.

IK is still better than what PK has but you are right he wouldn't be able to save Pakistan's economy primarily because the problem is deep rooted and it will take many years to fix, secondly even if IK comes to power in the next 6 months he will not be able to rule long enough to meaningfully change things, he is already 70 and doesn't have very long.

Low IQ partisan peasants won't understand... Don't waste your breath

A lot of them have trivial understanding but well meaning and genuine from the heart, they are not really the problem. The real problem are the baper desher lok, they are the 21st century neanderthals with a fixation on offering their rear end to baper desh even if they know it's against the interest of BD.
