Chinese cadets' numbers rise in US military academies|Across America|chinadaily.com.cn

Bear in Mind the % of Asian American in US is 5.4%

Have no detail on USNA tho, but I think it would be in line with AFA and USMA

Of course, if you want to talk about number, then White always have the most officer in the US Military, as they made up the bulk of the country. So... Maybe a bit fact check before posting is good thing for you
this is very recent so I didnt know, you see there is a +38.9% increase in 2014 applicants lol. I wonder why

dude, class of 2014 mean they enrolled in 2011 and graduated in 2014 (it took 3 years to finish the Academy) it's almost 5 years ago, how can it be Recent??

The USMA is taking application for Class of 2018 now....and the number I quote form USMA is for class of 2009 and class of 2017, so they aren't recent

Even if you look at the class of 2014, you can see a jump of 38.9% to 9.98% of class, that mean it was about 6.5% in class of 2013, still more than the national %

Top level classify document indicated the Chinese government massacre the Tibetan protesters can easily pass on to the free Tibet group in the US? These document too good to be true.

You only talk about one report, I posted many links about different cases.

And not to mention the many pregnant chinese women that go to US on holiday to have the baby born there as a US citizen so that later, not only the kid can live there but can also ask for residence for the parents.
They are there as spies. :D they are ready to betray US anytime and repaid their ancestry :D

The west accuse China for sensorship with total control of information, how the heck western journalist obtain their facts to report Chinese government murder the Tibetan in China?

The truth eventually comes out, there are usually eyewitnesses and in the age of cell phones, its not difficult at all.

Hey, I keep adding links, I just added links about Tibetans killed by border guards while trying to flee Tibet, check it out.

Baltimore enforces night-time curfew, ‘essentially 24 hours per day’ for youth

Pepper spray has been deployed to enforce a citywide curfew in Baltimore, Maryland. While scheduled to be lifted at 5:00am, it will recur nightly for a week. Minors’ movements will be restricted even further. Violating the restrictions is a misdemeanor.

After the curfew kicked in in Baltimore at 10:00pm ET on Tuesday, few patches of protesters remained on the street with authorities warning that violators could face arrest. After some protesters began hurling firecrackers at police, authorities were prompted to respond with tear gas giving a clear signal for rioters to disperse.

Baltimore Police Chief Anthony Batts said a total of 10 people were arrested after curfew, as he said he was “very pleased” with how demonstrators and police conducted themselves. Two of the arrested were taken into custody for looting and one for disorderly conduct.

Kevin Harris, a spokesman for the mayor, told the Baltimore Sun the curfew wasn't set to take effect until Tuesday because police needed more time to ramp up efforts so that one was enforceable. Police spent much of Monday combating violence. Harris also said people needed to have reasonable notice before a curfew is enforced.

“People have the right to protest and express their frustration,” Gov. Larry Hogan (R-Maryland) told reporters after declaring a state of emergency. “But Baltimore families deserve peace and safety in their communities—and these acts of violence and destruction of property cannot and will not be tolerated.”

The restrictions are even more severe for the city’s youth, according to Baltimore Councilman Eric Costello.

“Youth [curfew] is essentially 24 hours per day,” he tweeted, adding “there are more specifics … which haven’t been released.”

The “additional curfew for minors,” according to a photo tweeted by DailyKos columnist Shaun King. He said that “in addition to the restrictions imposed above, during Other Hours, minors may not be in a public space except: when accompanied by the minor’s parent; when strictly necessary to travel to and from school when required to be at school; and when going to or returning from an official school, religious or other recreational activity supervised by adults and sponsored by the City of Baltimore, a civic organization, or another similar entity that takes responsibility for the minor.”

There is already a citywide curfew in place for Baltimore’s youth ‒ who make up about 21 percent of the city’s population ‒ and it’s considered one of the strictest in the country.

The law also extended the daytime curfew hours. The previous law read: “No minor under the age of 16 may remain in or about any public place or any establishment between the hours of 9:00am and 2:30pm on any day during which the minor is required to be in school.” The curfew enacted by the council is 7:30am to 3:00pm.

“Non-essential business operations” should be suspended during the hours the curfew is in effect, the mayor's office said in a statement. Restaurants, entertainment venues and bars should be closed between those hours, and visitors and patrons should plan enough time to travel before the curfew takes effect, it added. The curfew begins four hours before the city’s mandated 2:00am closing time.

“That’s gonna crush us ‒ on top of the fact that nobody’s going to be downtown for a while, so we’re going to lose all kinds of business for that,” David Niehenke told the Baltimore Business Journal. He is the owner of Mick O'Shea's Irish Pub in Baltimore’s Mount Vernon neighborhood, which has remained relatively untouched by the unrest in the city.

Niehenke estimates Mick O’Shea’s will lose about $2,000 a night.

“That will add up quick ‒ not to mention staff losing money,” he said. “The bartenders come in 6:30pm-7:00pm for work, so they're going to have what, two hours to work? Wait staff, kitchen staff ‒ everyone's going to lose work."

The University of Maryland, Baltimore announced that it would close its campus at 7:30pm each day as long as the city curfew is in effect.

Critics question the effectiveness of curfews in curbing unrest and violence. Human rights advocates note there is little substantive legal scholarship on the long-term impact of emergency curfews, particularly those placed on impoverished, predominantly poor communities of color ‒ the same ones that are most likely to experience an increased police presence, according to TakePart’s Rebecca McCray.

“If you look at what happened in Ferguson, [Missouri] violence escalated when members of the community were restricted by the state of emergency,” Jamira Burley, senior campaigner on criminal justice and gun violence for Amnesty International, told TakePart. “Curfews increase tensions and continue to create an environment where community members feel like they can’t trust police and don’t feel safe.”

“More oppression of the oppressed is not the answer to injustice in Baltimore,” Hassane Muhammad, spokesperson for Black Lawyers for Justice, said. “A curfew won’t fix it. Until there is transparency and there aren’t two systems of justice in America, there won’t be peace.”

McCray points out that the last time there were riots in Baltimore, a predominantly white crowd overturned cars and looted a convenience store after the city’s football team, the Ravens, won the Super Bowl in February 2013. No curfew was introduced during that spate of violence.

The curfew will remain in effect until May 4, unless it is renewed or rescinded by Rawlings-Blake.

still recent, i admit last time i checked I was in school, (somewhat 10 years ago) lol

10 years ago I was still fighting in Afghanistan, 10 years is a very long time ago.

even so, back when I was in OCS (That's 15 years ago), I have about the same % of Asian in US and in the OCS. But I can't find any detail that far, so 5 years is the best I can do

Strong accusation of Chinese government massacre of Tibetan without credible facts to back up the claim. Instill there are undeniable fact implicated Chinese government order massacre of Tibetan recently, I can't seriously take your statement to be truthful.

Off course, what else could be expected from ultranationalistic chinese members here, when something is "inconvenient", its called propaganda or non credible facts. I'm also sure not unarmed students were killed by the chinese military in Tiananmen Square, it was just western propaganda.

Tiananmen Square were undeniable fact indicated Chinese government did order the killing of the students protesters, you can said Chinese government did massacre those Tiananmen Square students protestors because, there are video proof, picture proof, western journalists on the ground in Tiananmen Square reported the incident. However, the last 6 yrs I see no video of Chinese Soldier shot and killed the Tibetans protesters in mass during the 2008 protest, no western reporter showed proofs of Chinese soldier massacre the Tibetans protester.

So no video means it didn't happen? If we didn't have video about Tiananmen, then based on your logic, it would mean it didn't happen. The reports about Tibetan civilians killed by the Chinese military / police have been coming for decades, but of course, no video means it didn't happen.

Nope I watch the Tiananmen Square protest live on the TV. I saw the Chinese student shot and killed by my own eye on the live news broadcast, that were undeniable fact of Chinese government massacre those student.

Yes, but according to your logic, if there was no video or live TV, you would say that the information is not credible.
