BAE Systems recently demonstrated this early prototype of unmanned combat vehicle. Known as Black Knight, the 9'/2-ton vehicles looks a little like a mini-Abrams tank and mounts a 30mm main gun and coaxial machine gun.

According to BAE, Black Knight uses 'advanced robotic technology for autonomous mobility... a capability that allows it to plan routes, manoeuvre on the planned route, and avoid obstacles - all without operator intervention'.

During a recent demonstration for the US Army at Fort Knox, Kentucky, Black Knight was teamed with a (manned) Bradley technology demonstrator tasked with engaging an enemy target from cover. Black Knight was able to autonomously move to a covered position forward of the Bradley and, using its sensor package, send battle damage assessment data back to the Bradley from a position closer than would be tenable for a manned vehicle.

Theoretically, if the enemy target had not been neutralised, then Black Knight could have engaged it remotely. However, the 30mm is a dummy gun at the moment. Don't worry though some dummy will replace it with a real gun sooner rather than later. So, it won't be long before casualties can be inflicted by 'friendly robot fire'.

no man will sit back and discuss stretegy.
and i have serious doubts on this tank robots are not perfect human are. when we talk about talking about a decission making and human are more superior than robots
