The Nigerian chef de mission Elias Usman Gora also said his country's participants are 'very happy and impressed' with the Commonwealth Games facilities, have started training there and are optimistic about winning medals at the ten-day sporting event.

'Our six coaches who visited the facilities are very happy and impressed, so are our participants. They have started training already and we will work towards winning medals at the Games,' Gora told IANS.

The Nigerian coaches inspected the Games facilities Monday evening and submitted a report to Gora on the safety, security and health aspects.
On Monday, Gora had termed the Games Village 'the best ever'.

'The rooms are the best ever provided in any other Commonwealth Games. The food is also great. The international zone is a great place,' he said.

The title of the article and thread is stupid "Australians now full of praise for Games Village"

It implies that everyone has the same opinion. Some Australian might be happy with the games, some might not be. The title implies that EVERYONE wasn't happy and then all of a sudden EVERYONE was happy.

It's different opinions from different people.

It was the head of Australian delegation who speaks on behalf of the team. It was the same delegation who criticized before and now they took a u-turn and are praising the same facilities. When they started to malign the games did you ask then if it was everyones opinion? Stop being a hypocrite. If somebody has issues with our hospitality they can take a hike, no one cares. We'll do what ever we can to accommodate the rest of them.

That 'mike' guy who run a story about how he took a live bomb into CWG stadium was also debunked. What an idiot..

Criticism is hard to swallow, but it is generally better than praise, because it help (persons and nations) to look at themselves from others' perspective. I myself always want to hear the criticism from other countries or organization to Vietnam, even with far-fetched ranting like Vietnam is dirty poor and third world (it is partly true), rather than blah blah praising my country.
We all should learn to accept the criticism with positive attitude.

Its a colonial legacy ,even if some of the criticism is genuine real and valid,some people here equate it to the white man's mentality.

If its from within the country,however rash,its received with a sense of introspection.
