Two primary artillery systems are being inducted. One being the Dhanush which is an improvised version of the Bofors while the other being ATAGS which is completely developed ground up. Both are developed by DRDO but ATAGS manufacturing will be handled by Tata and Kalyani Groups

It's issue was weight issue, this is the new prototype for that. Foreign arty might win because it's been in trials a lot longer than this, but doesnt mean ATAGS wont get any orders. Requirement is to huge.
