it maybe partially true, many of these guys get contracts to make uniforms... so if they get a contract of making let say 500 they make it 600...

you can buy t shirts from any shop in the cantt without showing army card...no issue... but for uniform I heard you got to show card from those shops...

it's the same in the U.S. (minus the patches)
they have what's called ''Army/Navy Surplus Stores''


in Pakistan of course, I personally think MAJOR fines/sanctions should be imposed on those who are not ''licensed'' to be producing police or military uniforms....Moreover, civilians who purchase such uniforms should be reported; this doesn't apply to ''camos'' which some people here and there wear casually for fashion (a different camo pattern anyways)

time and time again there were incidents in Pakistan where terrorists came in dressed in police or military garb. And time and time again the authorities have screwed up and not taken this matter seriously. But that's not out of character, because they never take anything --even life -- seriously....
