Army jawan arrested for sharing vital information to Pakistan's ISI

Even lower ranks can tell a lot and give vital information
--
not in professional armies...
info given based on ranks not by relgion

Interesting, so if true then ISI has really grown large and effective enough to even infiltrate the serving soldiers of the enemy. And Mr Kumar can always dream on even to have contact with Manohar. (if she ever does exist):lol:

Quite a big shot.

liar . shut your mouth..

look at the bright side... we are catching all the rats in our country... many ISI dogs are arrested within a short period . it is well known that both india and pakistan is honey trapping each others soldiers and other defence personals, but no one is getting caught in pakistani side for spying for indian intelligence. some pakistani members are going to say that pakistani never works for indian intelligence. but both of us know it is not true.
i am very happy that indian intelligence agencies are more efficient in catching these ISI moles....good work by MI and DIA

Pakistan Intelligence has caught many rats in Pakistan. The only difference is we do not disclose or share any such news on media.

But he can check and make videos and other information

Yes yes off course

Because if news like that was shared, it would shake the foundations of the military and civilian setup. Considering how many big fat senior rats we have. However, it is prudent to know that the number of those ratting for India is much lower than those Indians ratting for Pakistan. Since, Pakistanis are slightly more evolved at ratting as they rat for a much stronger currency.

A jawan!! How much info can he give? Zilch! The ISI should raise their standards by endeavoring to honey-trap the chief, instead of meddling with lowly ranks in the army!! :P

actually very important most jawans have very detailed infos about there local units that can be used to modify doctorines in case of a war e.g if war last for 72 hours before International community intervenes than such info can be used to accurately and efficiently hist targets minimizing civilian and financial lose because of ammo wastage etc. There is no chance of war but doctrines should always ready and updated.

Why did this post get a negative rating? He makes very valid points indeed.

And reality is we are still getting more and more people to give us information

You can't possibly know that.

A few points:

1) for better or worse India is a more open society where these matters are concerned (the military doesn't have the same grip on power) so these things come out a lot more in the Indian media than would in the Pakistani media but the smaller amount of reporting on the Pak side on the matter doesn't necessarily mean the amount of such incidents in India is more than Pak or vice versa- it is simply impossible for outsiders to know. And anyway consider the Indian Military is 2-3 times larger than the Pak military so outright numbers of such incidents are deceptive.

2) It's interesting that the majority of the incidents that occur involving the leaking of such information (the degree of sensitivity is debatable) often involve a "honey trap" type event and not just for Pak- Russia too has snared Indian officers like this (naval ones). As such Indian soldiers, sailors, airmen etc need to be given a greater briefing on the risks of such events so as to mitigate this going into the future (I'm sure this will be done). As such it is not exactly like these men are being swayed by material things or have any overt desire to turn against their country, they are just naive and get caught up in a mess that quickly gets out of control.

3) That these things are coming out might be embarrassing to some (on the Indian side), but it is actually indicative of robust and competent counterespionage activities going on within the Indian Military/Civlian intelligence community and this is something to be proud of. It would be more worrying if these things WEREN'T coming out because in situation where hostilities are simmering between the Indian and Pak militaries constantly one can be sure these sorts of things are happening so it would be worrying if these things weren't being found out.

You do realize the US soldier responsible for the Wiki leaks situation was a PFC. This jawan probably provided digital records to ISI, my thanks to him for doing the right thing.

He is an innocent man. Such a great asset to India should be made chief of RAW.

:sarcastic: Agreed the man has demonstrated his commitment to the peace process and confidence building measures.
