Prayagraj: 'Are BSF jawans sleeping on the India-Bangladesh border?' quipped AIMIM chief Asadddin Owaisi after RSS highlighted population imbalance in the country and blamed infiltration for the same. Owaisi, in a fresh salvo on the Center over the matter, said, "If people are coming from Bangladesh , what are your BSF jawans doing at the border? Eating biryani and sleeping? That's why they are failing to control this kind of illegal infiltration?"

Population imbalance row

Notably, RSS leader Dattatreya Hosabale listed reasons for population imbalance on Wednesday, which sparked a row. Hosabale branded religious conversion and migration from Bangladesh as the primary reasons for population imbalance.

Addressing reporters at the four-day all-India working committee meeting of the RSS in Prayagraj earlier this week, the RSS leader said that the Sangh is trying to create awareness about the conversions.

Hosabale further claimed that infiltration from Bangladesh is the second biggest cause of population imbalance after religious conversions. "Population imbalance caused by infiltration from Bangladesh has been seen in districts of north Bihar, including Purnia and Katihar, and in other states," he said.

Hosabale went on to say that those who changed their religion should not get the benefit of reservation.

On the occasion of Vijaya Dashmi earlier this month, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat also linked religious conversions to population imbalance in his speech. "Population imbalances lead to changes in geographical boundaries," he said.

Prayagraj: RSS leader Dattatreya Hosabale on Wednesday said religious conversion and migration from Bangladesh are causing "population imbalance" and called for strict implementation of anti-conversion laws.

Addressing reporters after a four-day all-India working committee meeting of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh here, the RSS general secretary said the organisation is trying to create awareness on conversions.

He said as a result there has been a favourable outcome of "Ghar Wapsi" -- the Sangh Parivar effort to bring back to the Hindu fold people it says converted to faiths like Islam and Christianity.

He said the existing laws to prevent religious conversion need to be implemented strictly.

This was an apparent reference to laws in some states, including Uttar Pradesh, that prohibit conversion by force or allurement, particularly through marriage.
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat too attended the meet in Prayagraj from October 16 to 19.

Hosabale claimed that after conversion, infiltration was the second biggest cause of "population imbalance." "Population imbalance caused by infiltration from Bangladesh has been seen in districts of north Bihar, including Purnia and Katihar, and in other states,'' he said at the press conference in Gohania, 25 km from the district headquarters.
The RSS leader said those who changed their religion should not get the benefit of reservation.

He referred to the committee formed under former Chief Justice of India K G Balakrishnan to examine whether communities that adopted other religions should get the Scheduled Caste status.

Hosabale said the meeting also discussed increasing the participation of women in social activities of the Hindu community.
"Women are entering every sector. Their role in decision making in social work must also increase," he said.

The RSS said 372 Sangh workers attended the meeting.

Hosabale said over 3,000 young people have joined the Sangh in the last two years and the number of RSS "shakhas" has gone up from 54,382 to 61,045 in one year.

Over 1,30,000 people have joined the Sangh through the "Join RSS" platform launched in 2010-11, he said.

Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat has visited the northeastern states of Meghalaya and Manipur and invigorated a sense of Hindu pride in the tribal communities there, Hosabale said.

"The people from the tribal community have started inviting the sarsanghchalak there," he added.

The RSS will celebrate its centennial year in 2025.

He has a point, illegal infiltration is hard without bribes to bsf. They are not sleeping, they are simply poorly paid and wont hesitate to let someone in for some $.

Main reason for the “imbalance” in the population is that Hindus abort baby girls until they have a son.

Each year millions of abortions are carried out in India.

And it’s a fact that Hindu men have low fertility due to diet and lifestyle.

Yes, India is like America for many BD people. So, they go to India for begging.

As far as I know, it is about 17 lakh BD people go to India yearly and beg from the Indians. Since when India has become a rich Western country?

No one is flocking to India except in Indian minds. I have been reading about Indian BS for last 30 years, and, India was, is and will be India, ALWAYS.

It is all relative, India is beggar compared to western countries, and BD is beggar compared to India. Now beg me please for some debt relief, you need it.

BD young people would go to ME, Europe, America, and Mars, but not to a beggar country called India with its Kansjus population.

India has no jobs and as a result, many Indians come to BD to work. BD is a big source of remittance for India.

The Indian Muslim population is increasing at a higher percentage than the Hindus. This has caused the RSS to blame BD for supplying many people to that impoverished India.

Now, AIMIM Chief has implied in his answer that it is certainly not BD Muslims that are raising the Muslim population number, but the Indian Muslim population itself is increasing more compared to the Hindu population.

Economic migration to India by Bangladeshis is a myth! Yes lots of illegal entry happen but mostly for smuggling purpose bribing BSF not for permanent stay in India.
