Namer IFV with a 30mm cannon and Trophy APS

Based on Merkava Chassis ?
Turks should asap convert a lot of refurbished Leo 1 and M 48 series tanks to heavy armored IFV's with Trophy.
But I doubt Israel would export Trophy

A common misconception but no, the Namer as you know it today is built from the ground up consisting on lessons learned from the design and usage of the Merkava, The first prototype of the Namer were simply Merkava tanks with removed turrets, but when the R&D found out that they were onto a great idea they decided to make it even better and creating it anew not through the body of the tank but a larger more carved newly design chassis. And I though Turkey is developing their own APS so why would the Trophy be needed?

Thanks, then it was a myth that merkava chassis was used. You have very heavy armor protection, our IFV are more agile and amphibic but have no Hardkill sytems.
Trophy is the only combat proven system. Netherlands ordered already. Akkor is not ready.
Israel is in close defence relation with our brother nation Azerbeycan, as they were before with Turkey.

Yes the Trophy is battle-tested, but you know... Netherlands ordered IMI's Iron Fist not Rafael's Trophy - both Israeli but work completely different from one another. Besides if I remember correctly Trophy isn't the ONLY combat proven system - the soviets have tested "Afganit" in Afghanistan and "Arena" in Ukraine, don't now exactly their level of success though.

Thank you. I wasn't aware that they had different working principles. Now I see.

Amphibious fire support vehicle
or tank

Built by FMC in the 1970s, the LVTEX-3 mated the hull of a standard LVTP-7 with the turret of a M551 Sheridan mounting n experimental Navy 105mm low-recoil gun.

There's nothing like a big gun fire.
You can't always use ATGMs like antipersonal ammo.

Another project:

LVT x 90mm

"A larger, two man, turret also was proposed for installation on the hull of the LVT assault personnel carrier. Armed with a 90mm turret.

American marines denied vehicle lack of experience with 90mm gun and due to turret supporter from Europe.

The Real Amphibious Tank

AMX-10P PAC 90 Merc

Made by French with 90 gun for Indonesian and Singapore Marine forces.
Indonesian and Singapore have by 10 tanks.
What a shame Turkey haven't got amphibious tanks yet.
Don't underestimate 90mm gun power against troops or buildings.
