Assad is a minority alewite dictator ruling and abusing a majority population

Assad does not have the military power to rule Syria and hasn't had it for a long time

The rebels will fall back to the open countryside and hit the SAA with guerrilla attacks

Syrias resources, funds, etc are limited and under great pressure they fo not have anything to fix the country and as the majority population is still under occupation by a minority dictator the underlying hatred will burn awaiting a fall for the SAA

No, that's not true. FSA elements are allied with the Kurdish groups which are fighting ISIS. It is in Trump's interest to keep the FSA alliance. The issue is there are groups of FSA fighting ISIS, but there are groups which are selling western weapons to ISIS. And there are groups of ISIS the FSA is helping because those groups are fighting Assad. It's pretty complex.

ISIS isn't a monolith.

BS. All the civilians are fleeing to Assad controlled territories in order to get away from the war. Even today the largest population of civilians is in govt controlled areas.
