WARNING - GRAPHIC CONTENT: A graphic photo of what is believed to be a woman who was shot and killed by the Taliban for not wearing a burqa has sparked global fear for the safety of Afghan people.

[ image link because direct posting of graphic images is not allowed on the forum ] The image of a woman lying in a pool of blood on the ground as her parents crouch beside her was published by Fox News on Wednesday (local time), the same day the Taliban vowed to respect women’s rights.

The publication reported the woman had been killed in Taloqan, Takhar province, because she left her home without wearing a burqa.

The image appears to have first been shared on social media on August 9 when two Afghan lawmakers from Takhar confirmed its capital, Taleqan, had fallen to the Taliban. A source for the image has yet to be confirmed.

More than a week later the Taliban vowed on Tuesday (local time) to honour women’s rights within the norms of Islamic law.

The promise was made by Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban’s longtime spokesman, in his first public appearance. He did not elaborate on his comments.

The Taliban have encouraged women to return to work and have allowed girls to return to school, handing out Islamic headscarves at the door. A female news anchor interviewed a Taliban official Monday in a TV studio.

Girls reportedly lashed for wearing 'revealing sandals'

When the fundamentalist group ruled the country for five years until the 2001 US-led invasion, girls were forbidden from working or receiving an education. Women were also not allowed to travel outside of their homes without a male relative to accompany them.

The Taliban also carried out public executions, chopped off the hands of thieves and stoned women accused of adultery.

There have been no confirmed reports of such extreme measures in areas the Taliban fighters recently seized. But militants were reported to have taken over some houses and set fire to at least one school.

At a park in Kabul, transformed since last week into a shelter for the displaced, families told the Associated Press on Friday girls riding home in a motorised rickshaw in the northern Takhar province were stopped and lashed for wearing “revealing sandals".

A schoolteacher from the province said no one was allowed to go out to the market without a male escort.

Marianne O’Grady, Kabul-based deputy country director for CARE International, said the strides made by women over the past two decades have been dramatic, particularly in urban areas, adding she cannot see things going back to the way they were, even with a Taliban takeover.

“You can’t uneducate millions of people,” she said.

If women “are back behind walls and not able to go out as much, at least they can now educate their cousins and their neighbours and their own children in ways that couldn’t happen 25 years ago".

Still, a sense of dread appears to be omnipresent as Taliban forces take more territory each day.

“I feel we are like a bird who makes a nest for a living and spends all the time building it, but then suddenly and helplessly watches others destroy it,” Zarmina Kakar, a 26-year-old women’s rights activist in Kabul, said.

Jamahir's comment : @Death Professor, happy Afghans, eh ?

@lamdacore, the Taliban have broken their promise about women.

Meanwhile we have women being arrested and beaten by Western police for not wearing face masks.

As usual Western Libturd double standards and of course communist @jamahir would be posting Neocon Fox News

Rubbish, staged and fake news is at peak directed at Afghans Taliban's. Wish they start displaying the brutality and all this 5th generation warfare can be stopped in its tracks. Old and fake pictures are recycled so many times that it has lost its meaning.
These traitors butts are on fires as they can't fill their pockets any more. While Taliban's at the mean times are not using any force and behaving as good school boys and liberals are having a field day.

Population of Afghanistan = 38.9 million(2020).

You can post western propaganda all you want, it's not going to change any ones mind here. Worry about your country where there is cow vigilantism, wherein many states beef consumption is banned and the way it is going it will be banned even in Muslim majority areas. So worry about people who are getting butchered for just having a cow and being Muslim. Afghans will sort out their internal issues themselves. Worry about, "r** r** chillain gay, mullay kate jaingay" in the heart of India, Delhi. So worry and ponder about that, instead of sticking your nose where it doesn't belong.

And if you are so worried better send Indian troops there. We Pakistani's would be happier if that actually happens. Aao na, zara khusbu laga k.

May be or may be not some of you all get surprised that there is a legitimate job postings for “crises actors” who get hired to work on staged scenes of terror and mayhem so that their footage is used by the mainstream media to build a certain narrative peddling the agenda in scope … this fake news propaganda is an industry of its own … there are studios similar to film studios where any landscape is created and an scripted scene is played out and then used in short clips to build a narrative …

But fortunately now the masses are able to understand the predictable nature of the PsyOps next steps and able to flag them as well…

@Titanium100 @Hassan_Ishtiaq @mudas777, prove that this news is false and the empathetic Taliban have changed from their 1996-2001 ways.

So worry and ponder about that, instead of sticking your nose where it doesn't belong.

Like I told you you tell that Afghan woman Rada and the ghost of her assassinated friend Fatima that they should tell non-Afghan media people to "let only Afghans worry about Afghanistan".

I am pretty sure you haven't changed your undies in the time Taliban alleged to have control over Afghanistan.

Why don't you make a AI Khawateen Suraksha Bakht drone and let it fly to Kabul from Madras and see if it doesn't get raped itself in the polluted Indian air.

ffs.pds.

I have the sense to separate truth from untruth.

Meanwhile we have women being arrested and beaten by Western police for not wearing face masks.

I don't know about beaten but they should be fined for endangering the lives of others by not wearing masks. Authorities in India too do that.

What would say about staged scenes about civilian deaths in Syria blamed by the "moderate rebels" and their NATO masters on the legitimate Syrian forces ? In fact during the Libya war of 2011 even before Tripoli actually fell there was a studio set replica of the Green Square in Tripoli set up in Qatar that was then supposedly taken by the Libyan "rebels".

Mods can we limit the Indian fake news spamming..

You should actually ask @FOOLS_NIGHTMARE to stop spamming the forum with his multiple deliriously threads about the takeover by Taliban and what laws and policies they are undertaking.

Like I told you you tell that Afghan woman Rada and the ghost of her assassinated friend Fatima that they should tell non-Afghan media people to "let only Afghans worry about Afghanistan".

It is not your concern, what should be your concern is Indian Muslims Rakbar Khan and the ghost of Muhammad Shera. So fix that at home, then we all can look for issues outside our countries. Currently, we aren't concerned about Afghanistan except for the refugees, we have issues of our own to deal with. Recently, there was a case about a woman who was harassed for celebrating Independence day. Similarly, you should worry about "r** ra* chillain gay, mullay katey jaingey" that sort of things and why that is allowed. End of discussion, or you can keep on creating threads on useless western propaganda, netting you and everyone else on this forum nothing, nill, zilch.
