A factual Comparison between India's Brahmos Missile and Pakistan's Babur and Raad Cruise Missiles.

So much about missiles, yet not a single person to name an object?

This missile is resting on what?

What is the appropriate/technical name for it?

I guessed it (I am no expert) in plain english using common sense but any way to confirm.

MSU-166 AMRAAM Missile Stand
  • NSN: 4935-01-389-1288
  • PDI Part: 1700AS200
The MSU-166 Missile Stand is designed for use with AIM-7 and AIM-120 missiles. The stand is a mobile unit that provides support for individual missile sections during assembly, disassembly and maintenance. Seven moveable trolley/cradle assemblies and one moveable launch lug torque restraint attach to the horizontal beam to support the missile or sections of the missile during assembly or disassembly. The trolley assemblies have rollers to allow rotation of the missile sections during maintenance and also have straps that secure the missile section to the stand.

The MSU-166 stand consists of an H-shaped frame constructed of square steel tubing upon which are mounted two vertical supports connected by a horizontal beam. The vertical supports act as guides/support for two support frames. The assembly stand is mounted on four swivel casters equipped with locks and brakes. A handle/lever is attached to the lower brace of the assembly stand to raise all-up-round missiles when the handle/lever is lowered. The MSU-166 stand is powder coated, providing a more durable finish.
