The Foreign Office (FO) on Thursday “strongly condemned” the terrorist attack from across the Pakistan-Iran border in Balochistan’s Panjgur district on Wednesday evening in which four security personnel were martyred.

During a weekly press briefing today, FO Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said, “Pakistan strongly condemns the terrorist attack from across the Iran border.”

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) , militants used Iranian soil to “target a convoy of security forces patrolling along the border” yesterday. Following the attack, Iran had been asked to hunt down the terrorists on their side, the ISPR had said.

Baloch asserted today, “Terrorists used the territory of Iran [to conduct the attack]. We hope that Iran would take an action against the responsible factors.”

She said: “We strongly commit that our territory will not be used for undertaking cross-border attacks in Iran and we expect the same from Iran.”

The spokesperson further said that both countries have “exemplary brotherly relations”.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday that four security personnel were martyred during “terrorist activity” from across the Pakistan-Iran border in Balochistan’s Panjgur district.

“Today, in a terrorist activity from across Pakistan-Iran border in Chukab sector, district Panjgur, Balochistan, four security forces personnel have embraced martyrdom,” the statement said.

It further said that the militants used Iranian soil to “target a convoy of security forces patrolling along the border”.
Iran has been asked to hunt down the terrorists on their side, the ISPR statement said.

President Dr Arif Alvi condemned the attack, and paid tribute to the services and sacrifices rendered by the martyred officials.

He stated that the whole nation had resolved to fight terrorism.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari also condemned the attack, and expressed grief and sorrow at the martyrdom of the security officials.

“Martyrs officials are the country’s heroes. The militant who carried out the attack will have to pay,” he said in a statement.

Last year in October, the Iranian authorities had closed the border with Pakistan at Taftan for two days after clashes between protesters and security forces in Zahedan, the capital city of Sistan-Baluchestan.
In February 2021, the border in Panjgur was closed after violent demonstrations and attacks on government offices in Saravan area of Sistan-Balochestan.

Are you getting this information from public media or private channels?

Drones came into the scene after Panjgur-Noshki attacks.
So these attacks must have been more serious in nature to prompt the use if drones

Both public and private.

Panjgur-Noshki were very serious it shook up the army leadership most of whom never predicted that a attack of this scale could be launched.

Is there a thread on the Panjgur-Noshki attacks? What happened? 😳

"After the completion of clearance operation and an initial investigation Pakistani authorities said that the BLA militants were and assisted from Afghanistan and supposedly India during the attacks. The attackers also had state of the art equipment and weaponry obtained from abandoned US Military Caches in Afghanistan after the 2021 Fall of Kabul which included M-16, M-4, Night Vision Goggles, Bullet Proof vests, and many US-made sniper rifles and pistols."
