Terrible news as a very high powered explosion has occurred in the Rescue 15 Building (similar to 911 in US) in Lahore near the Mall Road.
I am roughly 5km away but my office building shook as well.

May Allah protect us all from these terrorists and may they burn in hell!

BBC NEWS | South Asia | Huge blast rocks Pakistani city

A huge explosion has been reported in the Pakistani city of Lahore, police and witnesses say.

The blast, which took place on the Mall Road, could be heard three to four miles away, an eyewitness from the scene said.

Pakistani television channel Dawn News showed pictures of a collapsed building and gutted cars.

We can only pray for the people injured in this blast and may the perpetrators are nabbed at the earliest and made to pay for their crimes.

there are also reports of gunshots in the area.

A bomb exploded in the eastern Pakistani city of Lahore on Wednesday, badly damaging buildings housing police and the country's main intelligence agency, and causing a large number of casualties, officials said.

The blast was powerful enough to shear walls off buildings in the city's main business district.

Khoro Pervaiz, the commissioner of Lahore, said there were "a large number of casualties" though a tally was not exactly known.

Television footage taken shortly after the blast showed injured bystanders as well as emergency workers carrying at least one body covered by a blanket to an ambulance.

Police official Mohammed Ashfaq said the bomb went off outside the office of the emergency police service in Lahore. TV footage showed the nearby office of the Inter-Services Intelligence agency also was damaged.

Ashfaq said the blast was powerful enough to destroy several vehicles on the street, and several people wounded in the explosion were rushed to hospitals.

He said gunshots were heard immediately after the blast. Further details were not immediately known.

Security should immediately be boosted, and I mean immediately this may the beginning of a more expansive and larger coordinated attack.

Edit: If this happens to be TTP, it's quite damning because just a day ago I heard they wanted to re-negotiate a "peace deal" what a joke.

At Least 30 People Killed in Lahore Attack on Pakistan Police - Bloomberg.com

At least 30 people were killed and several others injured in an attack on the office of the police rescue service in Pakistan’s eastern city of Lahore.

“The intensity of the blast was severe and gunfire was also heard,” Mohmammad Asif Mesam, a spokesman for Edhi Foundation, which runs the biggest ambulance service, said by telephone from Lahore.

The police building was razed to the ground in the explosion, Mesam said. An adjacent office of a government intelligence agency was also destroyed in the attack, he said.

Footage on local television channels showed the rubble of the collapsed building, several wrecked cars and ambulances arriving at the site of the explosion.

Today’s explosion was the first major terrorist attack in Pakistan since the military began an offensive against Taliban militants in the northwestern Swat Valley. At least 1,150 militants and 60 soldiers have been killed since the operation began on April 26.

Looks to be very serious.
