PTI should now start promoting from within instead of going after "electables" who wont even be running for their parties anyway.

Exactly, as the last two elections showed (2018 GE, and 2020 GB) people want change, not the same old same old, plus if PTI turns away its own loyal workers, many decide to go independent anyway, which splits the vote and gives other parties greater chances of snatching the seats. Furthermore if they can turn their back on their own party, surely they can do it to PTI too.. why take on such a huge liability.
