Bangladeshi tourists formed the third largest chunk with 4.63 lakh visitors, according to the Immigration Bureau's record.

Among Indian states receiving foreign tourists, Maharashtra topped the table with 48.15 lakh visits followed by Tamil Nadu at 33.74 lakh visits, Minister of State for Tourism K Chiranjeevi informed Lok Sabha. Delhi came third with 21.60 lakh arrivals.

In reply to another question, the minister said the Tourism Ministry is implementing its Rural Tourism Scheme with the objective of showcasing rural life, art, culture and heritage in villages.

Replying to another query, he said the Ministry had identified 'Film Tourism' as a niche tourism product and had requested the states and the Union Territories to constitute special bodies to facilitate filming.

the problem is, more of us choose to go out than most others who choose to come in creating an imbalance in earnings.

How many gone back to Bangladesh? :D
Btw where is Rajasthan and Goa in the list?
I think TN is doing a excellant job here. we are managing to draw crowds inspite of not being showcased much in India tourism ads.
In medical tourism too, we would be in top.
