Gen Raheel Sharif said in this video at around 7:00 min..tht over 2 lakh army is on the western border fighting against terrorism, while around 1 lakh army on the eastern border....and he was specifically talking abt army..... Listen it , yourself...it was surprising for me too...

Now a days mostly insurgents and terrorist coming from western border and operation zarbe azab is in progress. 100,000 is a regular army on east other than paramilitary and reserves we have. Our army can deploy additional infantry from west to east within limited time, nothing is to be worried. Regards.

If Nawaz Sharif had an iota of intelligence, he would beg Raheel Sharif to stay and clean the mess Zardari & Co. created.

Because west is the new east...India is fighting indirect warfare..it will not risk collapsing its economy and investor confidence by going into open hostilities on the eastern border..it rather uses Afghanistan as a proxy to foment trouble in Baluchistan and KPK.

I think as of right now NS would rather have RS in uniform for another 2 to 3 years then be sitting at home retired before the 2018 elections with millions of RS supporters wanting him to contest the elections.
Such is the power and fanbase of RS that he could probably win the elections without spending a single penny on marketing.

And dont for a second think RS is not politically motivated. After all he masterminded the break up of the most strongly supported party in pakistan MQM.

Breaks MQM in two, pakistan zindabad party and and then MQM of old (who eventually ditched Altaf), none of these two new factions of MQM has a charismatic leader like Altaf that can unite them and get the Muhajir vote. so the pakistan zindabad party and then the now new mqm minus london need a leader to get the votes to keep the crooks PPP out in the next election, The new leader needs to be pro establishment, Muhajir, pro pakistani, anti India and most importantly needs to have a track record of doing work for the Muhajir community in his time in power..... no one comes to mind right? Think again hard....
In comes in General Pervaiz Musharraf to unite the two factions of MQM and be the face of the new party minus London. The great game by General Raheel Shariff.

That would mean the entire border from Torkham Aswell as perhaps Pak-Iran border...

a real soldier, a warrior... a gentleman & a leader.... he is one of those guys who want to be remembered in history books as a COAS who came & did something for his country during his allotted time as a leader & left when the time came to say good bye, he have pretty much made sure that he will be remembered for years to come...
