This is Why Islamabad is Better Than Lahore and Karachi

Islamabad is better than Lahore or Karachi because of security and excessive policing. Rawalpindi next door is not that good. Moreover, its location in the potowar plateau affords it rather comfortable weather.

Other than that, there is nothing pleasant about a city that lets its hungry go hungry. Islamabad is not a city for the poor nor is it even half as philanthropic in terms of both residents and vendors as Lahore or Karachi.

hmm....what level? Karachi, if given all backing, will be another NY or Shanghai....Still people flock to Karachi....:-)Underestimating us and our city won't b a good idea....Karachiites rock, Lahoris shock....:p:

Aesthetically speaking Islamabad is one of the most beautiful capitals in the world. Its tree lined streets , Grand houses ,wide roads , Traffic rules abiding citizens makes it a delight to live in . Very few cities in the world look as pretty as islamabad after rain .

With given backing? Then the entire Pakistan would be one of the best country on planet. ;)

Two things that Karachi has and other two don't is high rise buildings and beaches . That gives Karachi a certain edge and gives it a big metropolis feel .

Karachi vs Lahore rivalry is too old and stubborn to end....Although I like this :-)

Sure. I lived there 8 years so it is quite wonderful. But as I said, it has its drawbacks especially in hospitality.
By comparison both Karachi and even Peshawar are much more hospitable cities.

Islamabad's citizens follow a more western lifestyle compared to people from other cities . if you don't bother them they won't bother you . Very aloof. Mostly the elite's live there and they cant't be bothered with what's happening around them , too busy in their own life. For hospitality I would Nominate Peshawer . I maybe biased because i am a pashtun myself:)
