Sorry, I got it wrong. He is way too young to be THE Chiang's grandson, he is Chiangs great grandson.

Demos Chiang

Demos Chiang - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Thanks buddy. I did some reading on him, and apparently his grandmother , the wife of Chiang Ching-Kuo , was a Russian (white Slav) by the name of Faina Ipat'evna Vakhreva . That explains Demos' very unique facial features, a strong Caucasian formation , and well, the prominent forehead. The kid looks good, i must admit.

Chinese-Russian mixture ... a great mix, lol.

A researcher shows relics excavated from the remains of Japan's notorious Unit 731 headquarters in Harbin, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, July 28, 2015. Incineration pits and traces of explosives left by Japanese invaders destroying evidence have been found at the remains of Japan's notorious Unit 731 headquarters in Harbin. The new findings were part of an operation to destroy a bacteria lab and burn experimental facilities at the site. Unit 731 was a top-secret biological and chemical warfare research base established in Harbin in 1935 as the center of Japan's biological warfare in China and Southeast Asia during WWII. The retreating Japanese invaders blew up the base when the Soviet Union took Harbin in 1945. (Xinhua/Wang Kai)

Hey Lux, you should stop being so persistent and stubborn here.

Most non-Mao/CPC supporters here are just as anti-KMT as I am.

The more you are trying to glorify KMT's dirty history, the more backlash KMT will receive.

Please just let that old party rest in peace.

Young Chinese visit Nanjing Massacre memorial
July 30, 2015
A party of 1,200 young Chinese visited a memorial to the Nanjing Massacre in the eastern Chinese city on Wednesday, as China prepares to mark the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.

The young people, from Jiangsu Province as well as Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, paid tribute at the Memorial Hall for Victims of the Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders.

One of the group gave a reading calling for commemoration of the Chinese who died during WWII and for the nation to cherish peace.

"It is useful for Chinese youths to review history on the 70th anniversary," said a student from the Hong Kong Institute of Education.

"The visit helped us understand how China suffered when it was weak and how significant its rejuvenation has been since then," the student added.

"Young people should learn from history and treasure the present to build a better future," said Lu Jun, a teacher from a middle school in Nanjing.

On Dec. 13, 1937, Japanese troops began six weeks of destruction, pillage, rape and slaughter in Nanjing. More than 300,000 Chinese, including civilians and unarmed soldiers, were murdered.

Interesting. :)

Interesting position you have Lux. Good points, tho I don't agree with you on most issues, I do appreciate you for pointing out some things that I never knew about , and am sure many others didn't know.

Agree, me as well. I dont agree at times with some of his views/way of saying things. But he indeed is quite honest/frank in his way of saying things. What he said is the truth.

However, chiang wasn't a brilliant military strategist/leader. I think had Mao been in control of China back then he would have done better, though he couldnt have defeated japan as well. Since when the KMT itself took over from the qing, china was already in total chaos and divided with warlords ruling over their own territories, the KMT had to fight hard to bring these warlords under its control and unite the country(sometimes even cooperating with the communists to do so). However when the communist insurgency /civil war began,it undermined the KMT even more. For example imagine Syria's government position today(only that KMTs China was in an even far worse shape) of fighting a civil war with rebels/militants supported by foreign powers and taking on japanese at the same time. Now imagine israel decides to invade Syria today do you thiink Syria stands any chance? It doesnt matter if syria's leaders are competent or not, they will be defeated. Same like KMT against mighty industrial Japan. They stood no chance(though they miraculously managed to hold china from bring fully occupied by japan after over 8 years of war). Mao being in Chiangs position wouldnt have changed the outcome. Theres only so much a peasant country in civil war with itself can do against an industrial snd military powerhouse.

This is another fact: without japan the CCP would have longggg been wiped out by KMT. Mao was right to acknowledge this. :) chinese members here can deny this just like their vietnamese buddies here deny that china support was crucial in saving the VCP from being annhilated by the U.S. These two are so alike.:lol:

Japan has a tradition of always being part of the losing side in wars and conflict. Poor japanese, they never win.

Actually they were part of the winning side on world war 1. Even though it was under our leadership, they got to control german concessions in china after that.:)

Well, of course a weakest KMT China is always preferred by you.

Why would i? I benefit nothing from that. Remember we in europe dont see china as a threat contrary to the U.S and Japan.
What has China ever done in history that threatens us?lol Russia is our msin threat, not you. Reason we cooperate/transfer tech to china with ease, something even the U.S/Japan have chastised us for doing for a long time now :)

Cool videos thanks sharing Chinese. :)

Ahahahah....so you are back now. Too bad i missed you last time. Guess we are going to have quite alot of fun on here. :chilli::enjoy:

That's a fact. Come challenge us and see what happen. As a matter of fact, I would love to see a country do an air raid on us and see how we react.

LOOL Thats the case of many powers nowadays. Who can dare do an air raid on/attack Japan, India, Russia, Turkey etc?? i dont see anyone daring enough to do that

In fact Burma did strike China through air raid, killing Chinese civilians/poor farmers. LOOL NO retaliation still. So calm down bro.:)

LOL you call that Myanmar 1km inside our territory as air raid? And what happened after that? Did they apologize and did we respond? You also have to remember that Myanmar is a friendly country to us. If this is Vietnam, it would be a different story.
