Pakistan Christians demand right to visit Israel

Pakistan's stance on Israel is based in International Law and U.N resolutions. Israel is occupying Palestine and hence Pakistan has every right to cut-off ties from a barbaric state that is breaking all conventions of 21st century and mudering/colonizing helpless people of Palestine.....ignoring all calls of world community via UN resolutions.

Christians are free to go to pilgrimage there. They can leave Pakistan, migrate to India, and go to Israel...........and never return to Pakistan. That'll be cherry on top.

On that note, European countries should make even better arrangements for tens of thousands of Muslims that go to hajj pilgrimage every year. :)

European countries don't forbid pilgrimage.Pakistan's stance comes from a religious point of views,a point of view that has nothing in common with christians.Always the hypocrite aren't you ? That's why i'm not bothered when you shed crocodile tears about perceived injustices against muslims in Europe. From now on i'll always remind you that if they don't like it they can always leave......as a cherry on top.

There is equally in fact more holy site for us Muslims in Israel than Christians or Jews. And Israel is the name of Prophet according to Islam. So quit your try at scoring a point here by basing your argument on religion.

No, the cherry on top part was if christians never return to Pakistan :)

hehehehe...

A good excuse to find religio-political assylum abroad. The folks are innovative, I ll give them that at least. Good luck.

Pakistan's stance is built on religion. If Palestinians weren't muslims,Pakistan would have diplomatic relations with Israel.

Be sure to remember that when France removes another burqa from some cry baby.

French are retards. They kick out Muslim girls from schools because they wear long skirts.

Yup, this happened for real.

Pakistan's is FARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR better for Christians in this regard. The only reason Christians can't go to Israel is because of Pakistan's international policy, not the demestic policy.

While France discrimnates against Muslims purposely via domestic policies.

Well, they can pack up and leave in search of a better place. All parties involeved would be happy, problem solved.I won't even comment on the Pakistan-France insinuation,i'll take that as a comedy from you.

Why are you faulting him? I earlier pointed out in another thread pertaining to Hindu persecution that nobody save Muslims have the right to reside in Pakistan ever since it was declared an Islamic Republic. I was rashed and booed by many Pakistani members. Yet members such as these prove my point time and time again on this forum :D

It's amazing the nonsense they feed you in Pakistan

Israel has all the right to bar the terrorist state of Pakistan. The most prolific producer of terrorists in the world.

Occupying Kashmir too.

No wonder why you would not show your true flags.

Lets not blame any faith please. We should look into the legitimate demands of Pakistani christians and give them equal rights.

I bet these "christians" are funded by foreign christian missionary organizations that fund these local christians, train them..and then in return these christians spread Christian religion, make things more "friendly" for western interests, and demand certain political rights to make the countries of their residence to become more in line with over-all Western agenda.

Shame on these christians. First they burn alive two Pakistani men when TTP attacked one church (How many people Muslims burnt when TTP attacked our mosques again and again and again?!!!)..and now this?!

These christians should know that they are Pakistani FIRST, and then "christians" or "slaves of Western masters" to be precise.

Our state needs to put them in their place..

When others do it you club the whole minority thing; when you do it, it is all justified.

Now I hope you see the problem with missionaries.

They are a menace to everyone.

Protesters say they are being denied right to go on pilgrimage

A Pakistani Christian group called on their government Sunday to allow Christians to go on pilgrimage to religious sites in Israel.

There are no formal diplomatic ties between the two countries and Pakistan forbids its citizens from going to the Holy Land.

All Pakistani passports state, “This passport is valid for all countries of the world except Israel”.

Under Israeli law, Pakistan is a designated an enemy state and Israeli citizens may not visit there without a special permit issued by the Israeli Interior Ministry.

God’s Peoples Fellowship of Pakistan (GPFP), a Karachi-based Christian organization, which seeks diplomatic ties with Israel, staged a protest on Sunday outside the Karachi press club to demand the lifting of the travel ban on Christian Pakistanis to Israel.

“People of different religions particularly Sikhs of India come to Pakistan every year to perform their religious obligations despite the fact the two countries have fought three wars,” Ashraf P Butt, Secretary-General of the GPFP, said.

“Since Pakistan doesn’t recognize the state of Israel and does not maintain any diplomatic ties, the Christian community in Pakistan has been deprived of their legitimate religious rights,” he told ucanews.com.

“In light of the Bilateral Protocol Agreement signed between India and Pakistan in 1974, granting permission to visit religious shrines and sites, the GPFP also demands the same arrangements for Christians,” he said.

He criticized the Supreme Court for dismissing a GPFP petition seeking a lifting of the ban out of hand.

“We deem Bethlehem, Jerusalem, the holy city of King David, the Skull place where Jesus Christ was crucified, Nazareth, Galilee and other such places sacred,” Butt said.

Pervaiz Khan, a pastor, said Christians are only asking for the rights to visit holy places in Israel.

“When Muslims can freely go to Mecca and Medina for pilgrimage, why can’t we exercise our religious obligations guaranteed tby the constitution of Pakistan,” he said.

I don't think that's true in the smallest degree. Pakistan is NOT "designated an enemy state by Israel".

From Israel's official tourism website:

"All visitors to Israel must hold a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date they are departing the country. People with no nationality must hold a valid laissez passer, as well as a visa back to the country that issued it.

Visitors are entitled to remain in Israel up to three months from the date of their arrival, in accordance with the conditions of the visa issued to them. Visitors intending to work in Israel must submit a request to the Ministry of the Interior for a special visa...As of July 3, 2008, an official decision has been made that will no longer require entry stamps..."

Israeli visa requirements for Israelis visiting Pakistan and Pakistanis visiting Israel can be found here. Pakistanis follow the same procedures as Jordanians and many other nationals. For Israelis visiting Pakistan the procedure is the same as Israelis visiting Nepal.

The Christians are welcome in Israel. They are not backward, violent, wide-eyed fanatics like their Islamist counterparts.

There is no harm in allowing Pakistani Christians to visit the land of Israel. We can lift restrictions from the passport and send all the visa applications to third-nation where the embassy of Israel exists. It is the quickest way to make the travel possible to Israel.

On better note, I am in favour of maintaining relationship with every nation in the world. This way we will be able to have a greater say at International arena and be recognised in better way all over the world. We don't have to recognise the current geographical boundaries of Israel, we can still maintain our position of disputed land belonging to Palestine but Israel is the reality and sooner or later we will have to acknowledge it.
