mujhe to husi aa rhi hai .. jis country ko f-16 US se gift me mili ho .. wo ye sub kaise kr skta hai ..

Pakistani triumph? Indian failure? It all depends on the context in which one analyzes the developments.

From an Indian perspective, if one of the objectives of Indian diplomacy is to "isolate Pakistan", then yes, the recent developments in Pakistan's relations with Russia, US, EU, China (yes, even China, in that the oft touted 'billions of dollars in Chinese investment' actually appears to be solidifying into some concrete projects, even if not all of them will eventually come to fruition) clearly point to a failure of a very strong and sustained Indian diplomatic offensive since the Mumbai attacks.

However, an Indian failure to "isolate Pakistan internationally" does not automatically constitute a "victory" for Pakistan, though it is tempting to cast it as such. In maintaining diplomatic relations with significant global power centers, Pakistan has largely maintained the status quo, with a net improvement if recent developments need to be given some weight (though I would argue it is too soon to tell if anything tangible will result).

At the end of the day, from a Pakistani perspective, "diplomatic success" needs to be defined holistically, and is tied to significant improvements in economic performance and governance domestically. Yes, the Russians are interested in doing business with Pakistan, as are the EU countries and even the US, but Pakistan needs money to buy their products and a strong domestic economy (predicated on domestic stability) to interest their private and government entities into investing in Pakistan.

Of all the responses from Pakistan posters, this is the most rational and to the point. Refreshing !!

在我看来,最能靠得住的还是自己,只有加强巴基斯坦本国的国防工业实力而不是像印度一样一个LCA都能造30多年还不能服役,一艘航母维修的钱比造一艘世界最先进航母的都多。

India pays russia.Does any other country has the potential. The trade between russia and pakistan, will not be even at par with the spares that india gets from russia. We have many sellers waiting for us but does lord russia has any buyer.Think m8

I read all the post in this thread and want to show Indians something which they don't want to accept and always in denial mode.
  1. Economy wise Russia is bigger then India
  2. Russia is far more superior in terms industrialization
  3. Russia is bigger country then India in term of area of land
  4. Russia is veto power
  5. Russia produces its own weapons from basic weapons to advance weapons.
  6. Russian export is more then Indian export in high end technology
  7. Russia is Space superpower
Bottom line: Don't treat Russia like it is nothing without India and if Russia stop to give you excess to her advance technology now India will be finish in next years in terms high end technology know how and that is some thing west will even offer you. India is bride of west and they will fulfill every demand of her and when time goes on they stop things one by one and by that time Russia will be on Chinese/ Russian block.

Exactly. It is not about total victory or defeat. The net gaining and losing is that matters. It is about a relationship being built in two regional players which has been worst in history. The relationship is going to matter in regional stability specially in Afghanistan after U.S leaves.

Impossible, the agreement with Russia, is a new alignment, pushed by the Chinese, they want their ally to be allied with another ally, the made the running - and made the Russians understand.
crap. The Russians want to sell directly and edge out the Chinese.

indian crybabys, Russia is just looking out it's interest.
lolzzz u dint get the whole equation bro

think of it this way russia and india are already into huge deals and that is not going to change as its indias declared foriegn policy

USA andeourope are welcome to have great relations with india just like russia has or say like we have with both iran and israel

as for pakistan drifting towards russia well russians are not fools they know very well whome they can trust and who will always play a double game

every nation has its priorities and we have owrs and russia has her own priorities and they will trade with who ever they find ok with but the bedrock is "finance" and we all know who.. khair jane do thing is pakistan is doing just what indians policy makers want them to do so good luck for the future

PS... i heared some days back that USA is now launching a new operation in afghnistan and this time it will give free hand to CIA & its drone network ;)

and guess what russians had lost there entire "generation" in afghansitan deu to pakistans over zelous help to USA-saudi funded jihad and they havent forgotten that and will never forget :pop:

Modi government aggressive measures, US-India pumping up, LOC violations along China and Pakistan, terrorist sponsored attacks and diplomatic hawkish overtures have all but blackened India's on face.

Modi govt is loosing.

India has become more shrunken and defeated, even Russians doubt Indians.

1)Economic wise russia Almost Equal as India. PPP wise india is Far Ahead of Russia both are developing countries
2)india is highest consumer Market Any were in the world with high Avg growth Rate than Russia
3) Russia Export more than 1/3 of its Exports to india which is accounted for 15.7 billion in 2013.If they loose that they will be in More Economic Burden then what they Facing now due to Economic Sanctions Including billion dollars of future Investments.
4)india is what we called Newly industrialized country - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
5)India is Also Emerging Space Power Its Achievements in the Field of Space are world par
6)India have Global Status of Emerging Global Power like china. Its is Recognized by UN and other international organisations India is part of g-20 ,BRICS

Bottom Line: India is Emerging Global power with Huge Investment Market Many countries of present world realizing that including your Past Ally US.Russia is a Industrialized country with Power average growth rate of 0.7 in 2014 which keep decline
they Don't have money to carry on their Ambitious Projects. they need foreign investment and regular Exports to keep their Economy running and carry on their ambitious projects Eg fifth gen fighter .Russians were always a close to Us but that doesn't count that India will jeopardize its International Relations with other Nations just for Russian Expansionist Motives. We will not pay for others Sin

This would go down as one of the worst strategic and diplomatic failures of India in recent times. Russia has stepped up its rapprochement with India’s arch-rival Pakistan just as India is getting closer to the United States.

Pakistan and Russia, this is the new future, future pivot of ruling asia, Pakistan-Russia-China !!!!

Ok.. What if You have Russian armaments? Could you be using it against India? Russian may sell you Sukhoi 22, India is jointly developing Sukhoi 35, fifth generation aircraft, Pak cannot ever get Brahmos, the fastest cruise missile on Earth, again joint production by India and Russia. You people dont even realise that you are been used as a dust bin for their out dated armaments, Just like Americans did to you, russians dumping you. Try to develop own technology, dont be like import everything. Its good for your country.
