Get many important devices from foreign, it means:
1. higher cost, waste more money
2. it's nothing in a high strength consumption of War
3. If ur supply nation stay in rival camp, doom !
4. If ur supply nation pro-rival camp, also doom !
5. If can't produce something to replace foreign important devices in War, still doom !

That is out of desperation. Many countries like to take short cut. By buying high end foreign system, they can no need R&D but still attain an advance system. But the shortcoming is you will be at mercy of others, long run maintenance will be a nightmare. Units will also be restricted depend on availability and your funds.

Purchase foreign system is like a short sighted measures that will come back to haunt you in long run.

That's too optimistic,50 destroyers means another 6 destroyer detachments and old Ludas needs to be replaced.We also need more LHDs and CBGs.
