ya, the supercobra, heres a question, pakistan gets second rate ah-1a's from the US at full price, why not buy similar helicopters with comparable abilities from iran at a much cheaper price, also i hear iran is upgrading their version of the cobra to be comparable to the supercobras, why dont we get those... it would seem to make more sense, plus we would probobly be able to licence manufacture iranian attack helicopters and be less dependent on other nations.....
Nope they received the helicopters for free. (As excess defense articles) The only thing they paid for was the upgrades. I doubt the Iranian upgrades are even close to the same level as the U.S. models. and they price paid for the AH-1's was very low.
Where did you get this information from? Of course you do realise that the supercobra has TWO engines and few features that it is not easy to retrofit?
