Qatar Signs $12 Billion Deal for U.S. F-15 Jets Amid Gulf Crisis

Exactly, Qatar is the wealthiest county in the world in terms of GDP per capita just ahead of Luxembourg. Plus their people live a very good life with high living standards(havibg been there I can attest to that myself). However do you think they will be where they are today if they were hostile to the West like say N.Korea or Iran?
NOPE. They might even be in a worse situation than these countries, who knows.
YEAH!,You`re right, they might have things like national sovereignty and independence or political freedom of action, you know the very same things that the west takes for granted for itself but like all good overlords wouldnt ever dream of granting its vassals because that would threaten the very lopsided status quo it worked so hard to achieve.Ahhh..theres nothing quite like the smell of good old bad old western hypocrisy especially when it comes to the middle east.

they need protection some one can invade to the country take them the gas and oil
Like who exactly?:what:,last time I looked the ones doing the invading in the region was....america[oh and israel of course]...hey ya`dont think that maybe they need to be protected from the guys who are supposed to be protecting them do you?:o:
Its also rather funny that despite the hundreds of billions the gulfies have collectively spent on defence that they still need protection:laughcry:[lol...yes I know,I know the arabs/gulfies are for the most part complete sh!t militarily speaking but all the same c`mon..]

No. It has more to do with national interests. Qatar allying with western powers has more to do with its own interests than anything else. If you can use a powerful foriegn power to secure your interests and improve your economic position/living standards, wealth, etc then whats wrong with allying with them? Qatar is a small country as such they can't afford the luxury or so called "honour" by going against Western powers and their neighbours just for the sake of "honour".
The thing I have noticed on this forum(I also red something similar somewhere before) is that people tend to be very emotional and less realistic when it comes to foreign policy.
I believe that people have to convert their abundance of emotionalism into intellectual capital in order to have a rational foreign policy. Some people in some countries tend to have a tendency of creating policy in the streets and TV channels. To the point that, laymen on the streets are inclined to advise new foreign policy direction, mostly based on military action against states several times stronger in war capacity than theirs.lol. :D
People have to know that foreign policy is the domain where no real legal norms exist and the only principle that works is avoidance of isolation and promotion of national self-interest.:agree:, it is often not possible to act on the rash advice of those who wax emotions about the "immorality and honour" of world politics. So it is definitely time to intellectualise and pragmatise way of thinking on foreign policy. Only national interests matters at the end of the day. Doesn't matter how or with which country you ally to achieve that as long as your objectives are met. It's better to just let those who keep changing 'honor', 'immorality' etc carry on with their rants. :)

Idiots laughed over the Rafale deal of India, and are laughing here.

More than 60% of the cost here is for
1. Training
2. Infrastructure Creation
3. Support Agreement
4. Spares and Associated Supply for 5-7 years [Biggest Chunk ]
5. Weapons.

The 36 fighter jets itself will cost not more than 4 billion USD.

People like you are the reason of so much chaos in the world ...

I dont want to get into debate with you ... you call it emotional and i call it ethics but i would prefer to die thrusty rather than to drink blood of other people ...

who care the costs we get it for around 100 milion dollars
the realty they pay 333 milion for f 15

They too pay 110-120 Million USD for the fighter jet.

The rest cost is for other essentials.

Had Qatar been using F15C/D earlier, then this deal would have been 30-40% cheaper.

At the end of the day. Excellent buy.

And Qatar has the luxury of having deep pockets, so it has no need to negotiate for ~1-1.5 Billion USD.

Great drama created by Us and its intelligence agencies and in return great benefits they are getting ( in billions and trillions) !!! Such a poor and coward Arab rulers !! Shame for all of them!!!

Well, you are not the president of Pakistan, as such your opinion(or mine for that matter) doesn't matter AT ALL. States don't think the way the common man thinks. Else, Pakistan and India would have already nuked each other. Lol So the common man opinion matters not I'm afraid. :)

Lol this thread is becoming funny...

Few jump on the "Old" junk thingy... while forgetting that the F-22 is a 90' tech...

Others thinking Qatar 's F-15 deal is new... it's been going on for years... and they even signed something when the Qatari Emir visited Washington few month back...

Others is comparing Su-35 vs F-15... get yourself a life...when you know nothing about both aircraft and their tech... Su-35 better than a F-15...sometimes I rly want to know which low cost weed some of you may smoke...

Others love to laugh about the milking part of Arabs buying Western tech more than the average price... while they can't even buy the Russian or Chinese junks... and keep canibalizing their broken aircraft to keep few flying... and whine when the US is blocking a military sale to them...

Look Hypocrisy is somthing beautiful to see... but at least for those who love speaking about a subject when you know nothing about... at least keep it humble...

In the End whatever you like it or not... and whatever "old tech"... the US tech with his old junk is still ahead of "NEW" tech...

Have FUn...

your country can afford old junk?

Old junk? In terms of design maybe. But its upgraded in terms of engines, avionics, radar, carries more weapons, etc. Smoky engines you says? LOL! You are pretty much wrong.
after watched this video i can't see man then you need eye specialist you are losing your eyes dude

Junk and Smokey? Lagta hai aap ney homework nahin kiya hua.

That was a very aggressive take-off and it is old F-15C model. Saudi have signed a deal with the US in which all of its F-15C aircraft will be upgraded to latest standards.

Below is a footage of F-15 SE in take-off:

No smoke even with two engines.

Make no mistake! F-15 series aircraft are absolutely state-of-the-art machines with capabilities beyond the capacity of any MMRCA. Just like other platforms, F-15 platform continues to evolve. F-15 series aircraft are arguably the best after F-22 Raptor in American inventory.

F-15 series and F-22 Raptor jointly represent 'air superiority' package of USAF and will be used to spearhead operations into hostile territory against a powerful opponent. Such thrusts have been simulated and results are promising: https://theaviationist.com/2017/04/...ll-ratio-against-14-red-air-fighters-at-wsep/

That is nonsense.

F-15 Silent Eagle was/is a genuine 5th generation iteration of the series but US pitched F-35 for sales in foreign markets due to huge amount of investment in it (political decision). Israel originally wanted F-15 Silent Eagle.

I refer to you my response here: https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/qata...-u-s-f-15-jets-amid-gulf-crisis.501731/page-2
