yes whatever the turn rate engine should have max thrust to push fighter jet quckliy in opposite direstion and raptor and typhoon for sure have power and thrust more than tejas so thats why they have quick turn rate and their avionics made in a way so they are more flexible and agile when they need to turn example cheetah in full max speed can turn more faster tha tiger and lion and cheetah body is more fexible and agile

Pilot will black out if he tries these manouevre at max speed ..coz human body can not take more than 9g of acceleration and hence are done at subsonic speeds.

And no matter , what speed an aircraft turns, it turning diameter will be the same.

The real reason

Senior air marshals point out to Business Standard that, if they grant the Tejas IOC at the end of 2010, it will be in the long-term interest of the fighter programme, not because the Tejas has met all its targets.

The Tejas does not fly as fast as originally planned; its acceleration is significantly less; and the Tejas has not been tested yet in carrying much of the weaponry it is designed to.

you don't need to tell a pilot "hey fly quick its a 360".
360 degree turn is a combat manoeuvre where the pilot tries to out manoeuvre rival aircraft by turning into a tight circle, it depends on the aerodynamics and airframe features of a plane on how quickly it can turn / take g force.

They both are performing 360 deg turns, LCA takes 30 sec to complete, while F-16 takes only 17-18 seconds!

The tejas was not engaged in a dog fight in the video and was merely performing for the spectators who had come to watch the show.Moreover the tejas is slated to have more powerfull GE engines later on.It is true that the other aircrafts covered 360 degress in a shorter time but one must also understand that the radius of the path taken by tejas was mush more than the other crafts.

I woulnt worry to much about turn rates and speed and acceleration for both these fighters.

If i was a betting man i doubt that either of the planes come close to F16 mirage 2000 or the formidable Flankers in these areas.

How ever they have other aspects that make them useful

eg.

Thunder has BVR and is a cheap plane at only $15m each

LCA tejas has composite materials and western engines and avionics from israel making the relaiblity far better than their Russian planes.#

They are both useful planes for both nations in coming decade
