I won't be surprised if UAE herself is offering it to Pakistan just to get over from mirages.

Its a stupid idea to buy Mirages unless they are giving it for free as we should rather focus on using the same money to improve JF-17.

JF-17 and F-16s should be the last purchase from 4th Generation Aircraft.

If it is the case then let's hear the French/Dassault word as well that we cannot pursue such large buy of another Mirage Type without after sale support/service. By looking at track record, India must have a condition for France in Rafale Contract, mentioned to stop such further sales to Pakistan or who knows.

@Windjammer what's your read about this....

India Can Not stop Dassault.

But its just that the present " Single Engine Fighter " competition is not so straight as it seems.

There are offers from both Russia and France too.

From France I presume its refurbished 2nd hand Mirages.

No more investments in Mirage fighters.

JF-17's and possibly F-16's only at this point.

What is the offer from Russia?

UAC is offering to restart single engine fighter program from either Su or Mig.

Su would be likely offering something like Single Engine Mini Su35.

Russia would have advantage of cost and easy transfer of production over others.

The offer from Mig is not known.

UAE, Pakistan and Mirage 2000-9s

There is talk that lately-appointed Chief of General Staff of the Pakistani Army General Qamar Javed Bajwa intends to reactivate contacts with the UAE to buy the Emirati Mirage 2000-9 fighter jets in favor of Pakistan Air Force (PAF). The following 348-word report sheds more light on the subject and tells what about the Emirati reaction.

I think India is looking at existing A/Cs not that whole new plane from the ground in such category, that may take more decades than procuring available Fighters or the new single engine procurement is based upon such strategy then we can see a possibility of such new SU or Mig plane but for the moment, not feasible at all.

Now back on topic. If PAF is pursuing such path of Mirage 2000-9s, the hurdles, possibilities and don'ts would have been worked out earlier that we cannot ignore UAE worth for France as well that may help to work-out something for such procurement. However, this news may or may not be credible that only time will tell though none read about reaction of UAE in this regard.

Nothing much is fixed right now , except from the fact that such a competition would be started and these 4 have offered their participation.

If you really want M2K from UAE, then get enough air craft to raise 3 squadrons. If each air craft is offered at 1/3rd of its original price, Dassault is ready to co operate in lubricating supplies for spares & upgradartion of Mirage Rebild Factory to facilitate Repair/overhaul of M2K. Then why not!
Delta Should be replaced by Delta. And considering the fact that these air carfts are upgraded & not ''as old'' so buying them with entire package will be a cheap, time saving & effective way to boast PAF.

And we are already familiar with this air craft

@Khafee UAE intend to replace Mirages with Rafale?

More Junk , Logistical night-mare , 4th Gen , old Technology ..
why not put these fund of development of JF block 3 with AESA , and other goodies ?
Mirage-2000-9's wont be coming for Free .. if not money UAE will ask for other benefits , who knows what they ask for ..

And we are already familiar with this air craft

and our Enemy has Mastered everything with Mirage-2000-9's .. Just like we have Mastered all Strategies with F-16's ..
