World Bank revises Pakistan's growth rate upward

what is it currently at? [this fiscal year] and the previous year?
Its catching up slowly from
around 1% in 2011 due to flood in 2010
2% in 2012
2.8% in 2013
3.4% in 2014
4% in 2015
4.7% in 2016

So the government aims to have around 6% by 2018, 5.8% more realistically

The boost given by CPEC is likely to add between 1% to 2.5% and can easily take it beyond 7%

The figures are rough/approxinately and differs slightly to actual numbers

cheers amigo!
so it seems pakistan is on a upward trend, all you gotta do is ensure there's no blackouts. that alone would add about 1%.

Sir from 2018-2013.... not 1,2 or 5 but thousands of textile industries were shut due to lack of energy. Many of them relocated to Bangladesh and Sri Lanka as they were fed up of 12-18 hours of load shedding. As per government estimates it has lead to loss of anout 2% reduction in growth of gdp. Some of these industries were worth billions of rupees and working with major clients in Europe until they were shut down

no matter how bad is this gov still its 1000 times better then zardari dark ages

Now lets home some chutyas dont take over who will shut down roads and power plants to build schools hospitals which will go empty as there will be no economy to run them..

how much load shedding do you get now as compared to lets say 5 years ago?
In 2012:
8-14 hours a day in major cities
12-18 hours in villages

In 2016:
0-4 hours a day in major cities
2-8 hours a day in other parts of the country

Electricity load shedding has reduced to almost 0 hours in industries but still plenty of gas load shedding

gas load shedding , as in a limited supply of gas?

Yes... the shortage of electricity is likely to be met by end of 2018 but gas is the biggest concern right now.

Pakistan is producing about 4 billion cubic feet of gas from domestic resources against the demand of 8 billion cubic feet. Some of the demand is now being met by import of LPG but its only helping to reduce some of our energy needs. We need Iran-Pakistan Gas pipeline, TAPI and North South Gas pipeline to fulfil our future needs as our domestic resources will be exhausted by 2030 and apparently only imported lpg from Qatar is likely to happen which will be transported to Punjab via North South Gas pipeline.

Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project is also going to be completed after Gwadar-Nawabshah pipeline is built under CPEC but we are not sure how the things will unfold after trump takesover and whether the similar sanctions will be imposed on Iran once again or Pakistan will be able to fulfil her commitment.. I have no hope from TAPI so hardly discuss that project

thats good. so all this fuss of the current government being corrupt is a bit strange as the previous government did not care at all but this one does. isnt it better to have a corrupt pm who does good for the country as opposed to one who bleeds it?

A lot low as compared to previous govt's era. At that time we had to bear 10-12+ hours of load shedding now this figure has dropped to approximately 3-4 hours in most of urban areas
