Hahaha off course there was no corruption. It just magically happens to be the most expensive Metro Train in the world. All the other major cities were a bunch of morons that they happened to build it much cheaper, even Delhi built it much cheaper although its a much bigger city. Also, Punjab Government didn't release the documents of all the transactions for the safety of the people because after all, transparency is horrible for accountability. Yup indeed, no corruption at all, after all that's the hallmark of PML-N. Hahaha hahaha

The cost of orange line is more than many European underground projects and every body knows the huge difference in underground tunnel vs surface trains, then the cost difference between the train purchased from China and Bombardier, Areva or Alston most importantly the cost of materials and labour in Pakistan and Europe...add all the difference and you will unearth world's the biggest corruption scandal in metro project.

Sir, will the cost be now cheaper that the other parties will also build it? I'd like to hear the cost comparisons. If you can prove that the Punjab metro is much more expensive and the others will be cheaper, you'd have a point. Thanks

Just compare the cost of the Peshawar metro bus service with the Rawalpindi metro and you will know the difference. The same trend you will find here.

The Peshawar metro train is going to connect four, yes FOUR cities and its cost is around $1.6 billion, while the Orange Line metro is just one line within a single city with total length of around 25 km and it is costing more than $2.0 billion.

I hope I have made it easy enough for you to wrap your head around it.

Sir, don't ask me to compare it. Please give us the numbers and credible sources instead of writing statements. I'd love to learn the difference. Thanks

Sir, making statements like these without the proof don't help. If you go to a court, they'll kick you out without mercy. Please provide the following:

1) Distance comparisons between the two routes (four or eight cities don't matter. The distance does). Also, remember, you could connect 8 smaller cities or 1 or 2 larger cities. The population has a lot to do with it.

2) Length of each project with stations and the size of stations, as that's where money is spent.

3) Control system employees, total third party contractors for maintenance and the number of buses on each project.

If you can provide me with the above, I can happily tell you what I think. Emotional statements don't win a case.

Please provide WB or investor's links (the Chinese). No one's spending dime from their pocket but the Chinese so I'd like to hear or read it from their sources.

Please read below

Please read above

The shortest possible track connecting Peshawar, Nowshera, Mardan and Charsada can be no shorter then 114 km. just checked it on Google map. You doubt ? Check by your own.

Don't know about the other segments, but Between Peshawar and nowsera, we will have Stations at Chamkani, Taru Jabba, Pabbi, Azakhel, Aman-garh, and Nowshera. atleast 3 in between Nowshera and Mardan. total Number of stations could not be less then 15. But as it's in MOU form at this time, so no body knows the exact information.

Bro. Just relax and don't push your brain to limits. it's a "Circular train Project".. Not a metro Bus.

But no link will provide you information more then it's cost and destinations.
so
Hear me. it's 115 km's (at least bcz that's the minimum possible distance between these 4 districts) . and it's a train project (not bus ) . it will have dual track. it can not "afford" to have less then 15 stations as in this case it lose it's purpose i.e; connecting the 4 districts (not the 4 cities) .. it's stated "speed" is 105 km/hr. not 45 km/hr (IYKWIM). which will be further increased to 160 km/hr.

I think you have your answers now.

I don't have my answer based on "you thought so". If you'd blame one project to be costly, and blame the other one of being not. You'll need to give me Apples to Apples comparisons.

I've done some research and it doesn't look like they are building the same thing as what they are building in Lahore. A sub-way or mass transit train has a stop every couple of miles and it doesn't usually run more than 40-50 KM bi-direction. It would cost more if you are building it through a metro city, than building a circular railway system outside of the city. So everything you said so far, is "comments". Provide both project's specific please, otherwise, this is another one of those "conspiracy theory" posts similar to the 50 one's I come across every day where a bunch of losers are blowing steam and kicking emotional dust away, vs. having concrete proofs for anything.

Please do not try to fool us by writing a full paragraph and then you think with all this information you will fool us ....May I know how much compensation per family received whose house was demolished to make way for orange train??? May i know how many people are going to benefit from it?? May i know how much burden will future Punjab governments have to bear in form of subsidized tickets??? is it going to be maintained just like other metro bus projects in islamabad( everyone saw the pictures of metro stations being flooded by rainwater) and Lahore ( cracks and leakage have been reported in metro buss roads and bridges)? what was more important upgrading government hospitals of Lahore where rising populatuion is facing health crisis due to government negligence ?? or transportation for which the present Punjab government looted people with petty compensation & these were those people who migrated after Separation of Pakistan from indian Punjab and made Lahore their homes

tell your wanna be benazir forget about ruling our country.......and shame on you for being a stooge of a corrupt family and defending them for few rupees
