PIA Plane Hits Another Jet While Taxiing at Toronto Airport

What is going on PIA...
First an hostess was caught for stealing and now the airplane hits a still airplane...
To me it seems, they are very stressed and need some relaxation.

The so called premier service is also setting to be closed down as PIA was able to run that one too in huge losses even in just 4 months. Its not stress but careless and give a damn attitude these guys are carrying.

PIA can come back into profit it reforms itself ... and we need to reform our aviation industry too simple ...its not a rocket science at all

It is typical of what happens with public money..shut down PIA or privatize it ASAP!

Nepotism & unprofessional staff, who are inducted on basis of sifarish are one of the main causes.

you should read the news carefully, the fault was caused by ground marshals. not by the fault of the pilot.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-790 from Toronto to Lahore was suspended after the plane clipped the wing of an Air France plane while taxiing to its gate Tuesday evening at Toronto Pearson International Airport.

According to CityNews, the Greater Toronto Airports Authority spokeswoman Natalie Moncur said the collision happened around 6pm.

The PIA plane's wing tip hit the wing tip of the Air France plane which was parked at a gate at Terminal 3, the report said.

No one was injured, and the damage to the plane is relatively minor.

A PIA spokesman, when asked to comment, confirmed the incident and said the matter is under investigation.

"Apparently it was due to some error during marshalling by the ground personnel," he said.

"There's some damage to the equipment which may need replacement... All steps are being taken for making the aircraft serviceable as soon as possible."

A night stop has been declared at Toronto and passengers who had checked in for the Toronto-Lahore flight have been provided hotel accommodation, he added.

Should I be surprised or not surprised by some of the idiotic remarks by fellow countrymen, PIA is our airlines and I would still prefer to travel to my country which gives me better food than all these shitty Arab airlines, at least when I land to my hmeland, I land with some respect rather than being humiliated by these Arab airlines with shitty attitude with us. I don't know when we gonna learn, it could be a monkey stake by the traffic controller who were guiding aircraft.

the pilot of the plane cannot see all of the plane. which is why there are groundsmen that direct and instruct the pilot. I believe the error could be more from the groundsmen but pilot error cannot be ruled out as well.

It was not specific to this accident and was a general comment on PIA's recent conduct.

the caa [the Canadian one] has been notified and are investigating. planes typically flow lines on the apron and taxi ways when they move to and from the gate.

Which arab airlines are you flying because I find way better service on Etihad or Emirates flying to Pakistan, than I do with PIA. The food is better, the service is better, and staff are more mannered.

ppp wanted to destroy it so that our ex president's sister can start indus air with some businessman and most of profitable routes of PIA.

noora government wants to privatise it by selling it to a middle eastern carrier and letter that came to save him also tells which country
