Indians boycotting 'Made in China' wares for Beijing's support to Pak

I hope therevwill be more RSS Hindus. A war with India can settle land dispute

I hope modi start trade war or forward policy part deux against China soon.

More than modi or RSS- It has been the people- common man of India- and the movement is strongest in UP and Bihar- i.e. about 350 million people- Where the presence of RSS is not as strong as in Western provinces-

UP and Bihar is poorest parts of India where Chinese product are popular due to low cost-

China should think what It is doing- Shielding the head of Globally declared terrorists organization is hurting Its image at least in these parts- and making It look like a leashed pet of Pakistan-

What makes you think India cannot make them ? They are made up of American technology
Guess where the components are made? Guess where the rare earth minerals used to make the components come from?

My point is what, you're the one bringing Chinese monopoly of rare earths into this & then when confronted with the WTO ruling you double down on stupid :hitwall:

So, now according to you rare earth(minerals) are Made in China :o:
Uh no, that is not what I'm saying at all. If you want to be intellectually dishonest here, that's fine by me.

The argument was that India would be boycotting Chinese goods, in most cases, the rare earth goes straight to Chinese factories to be used in Chinese lines, where they're used in Chinese produced electronic goods.

Basically, a vast majority of electronics rely on China's efforts to harvest rare earth metals, and Chinese produced electronic components.

My point is, boycotting China is not only stupid, but also not achievable.

And as I've said, like many others, an overnight & blanket ban is simply impossible for any nation be it India, China or US. However for the vast majority, like 90% or even more, India can easily replace China for goods manufactured using western tech & we know the vast majority of Indian imports comprises of these products.

Why do you think the likes of Foxconn are setting up shop here, they also save lots on the transportation costs you know. For Indian domestic consumption China is easily replaceable, even though it will not happen in a day or two.

All you did was say

"And they got bitch slapped at the WTO for pulling that crap, yeah wanna try that again o_O

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/artic...earth-export-controls-after-losing-wto-appeal"

to me.

Your "And as I've said" is kind of pointless to bring up.

I'm not going to go through an entire thread to keep you from getting upset, or to indulge your argument. Quite frankly, your approached me with hostility from the very beginning, and I don't take kindly to this sort of hostility.

And your argument was a non starter to begin with, also if you aren't willing to follow much of the rest that went down in the thread then why did you indulge in such pointless drivel?

As for hostility, if anything it was towards the Chinese (argument) but when you have you defend anything & everything you think they do is right, then it kinda makes your point worthless in our opinion.
First, the thread is 14 pages long, do the math.

Second, YOU replied to ME, NOT the other way around.

My argument is perfectly valid, if you're too intellectually dishonest to admit that, I don't really care.

They should boycott all US goods as well, as the US arms and supports Pakistan. This is only a half baked boycott, I expected more. :frown:

So many people in the west have been calling for boycotting Chinese goods for a decade on a daily basis, the result shows that they just can't get enough Chinese goods.

I love Chinese goods , I own SoundPEATS headphones, a lenovo tablet and a one plus three phone. Keep them coming bros.:yahoo:

Oh you have a OnePlus3 smartphone? That is a beautiful device. :enjoy:

Ah yes. Lovely and I'm just so impressed. The myth of "Chinese build quality" has been well and truly shattered.

Haha I never even minded about that stereotype of Made in China. As long as our products sell, that should be all that matters. People will vote with their wallets.

China has a virtual monopoly on rare earths (90% market share), so try again.

what are the chinese going to do with the rare earth's ?? Eat it for dinner ??

And that changes what exactly? India boycotting Chinese goods would also mean that they're boycotting this. Your point is stupid.

we can pick and choose what we are boycotting
