Yet another masterpiece copy by Karan johar . This time copying from none other than the queen of pop nazia hassan . Who was the first true international pop star from south asia .

Come back at me when you guys can learn to make your own music .

Now compare this piece of crap with these masterpieces by Nusrat fateh ali Khan . The Greatest of all times .

But i can't find much your own people sing his own songs as a passion, most of people again prefer to dance and sing indian songs, why? Because the new generation prefer romantic/melodious/rock songs than classical one !

That's because you have never been outside Mumbai and experienced anything . NFAK is one of the greatest voices to grace us . Rahat Fateh ali khan is good too but not even 20 % of NFAK . He revolutionised qawwali around the world . You only know Chinki Chameli and Munni Badnaam huwi . Those are your music songs . Stick to that

How can you compare a qawali with a pop/soft rock song? They are of different genres. There are many people who don't like qawali. It depends upon individual taste.

He was comparing overall music scene of India And Pakistan and posting all sorts of stuff from tamil and hindi movies . you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out we have the better musicians across different genres .

Lol i travelled lot of places on planet and do you think how many indians know khan, but almost all pakistani heard kishore kumar, muhammad rafi,A R rahman or lata mageskar songs.Honestly speaking and especially south india a very few know khan man. Its not his problem, but unfortunately he was in pakistan.

Man we also have yesudas who is considered greatest singer in indian sub continent. He can sing almost all kinds of song.So don't think that khan is the only singer in this sub continent.Even in tamil there is illayaraja, who is considered one of the greatest music director of all times and A R Rahman who leads in every where lol.Take your emotions out, that will not help facing realities...

I think you are not aware of Indian music. India has 30 languages with each having their music, you seem to be only listening to item songs and stuck to qawali. There are great artists from southern, eastern and north eastern India rock, pop and other genres. If you consider there are other industries like south and Bengali movies which have great music. These regions also produce great rock bands. Music is not limited to qawali, tabla and harmonium. It has different genres and depends on individual taste. I for example don't like qawali at all but I appreciate the skills of NFAK and rahat fateh ali khan. Yes, Bollywood has shamelessly copied many songs and I dont like the dancing but they seem to be equally popular if not more in Pakistan. But don't generalize about Indian music without listening to others.

NFAK made french , japanies and korean dance to his tunes even though they didn't know what he was saying . That was his magic :) . He was nominated for Grammies for his work in hollywood . Indians are more familiar with His nephew Rahet fateh Ali khan though .

Indian songs popular almost every where, whether you like it or not.You can't take classical songs all around the world because now days less people taste such songs especially youngsters.India have enough soft power to take our songs to any where, while pakistan can't at the moment.

I prefer listening to Pop . I liked the 90's and early 2000's stuff of Jal , Strings , Fuzion . Your Musicians accept your coke studio is far behind than ours .

:omghaha::omghaha:

Justin bieber is also popular does that make him a quality singer ? I am not sticking to Qawwali or Ghazal . Is your coke studio better? No . Are your pop songs better? No . Do you have legendary bands like ours? No .

Your songs are more commerical and have less quality

You just ask any one in India to sing a pakistani song, be a classical or whatever, very few people know your songs.
But you ask a pakistani to sing an indian song, they will sing many and that's the difference.Hope you know the difference.

Is music all about coke studio? Who accepts that Pakistanis are better? Ravi Shankar, A.R.Rahman, Lata Mangeshkar, Sumith Ramachandran, Skyharbor etc. I can name countless others. Does Pakistan have musicians who can match these names. I wont even mention rock because there cannot be any comparison with rock music of Pakistan which are mostly sufi based with the numerous rock bands in north east, east and south India who play variety of genres. You may like any music you want. Don't make sweeping statements without having proper knowledge and especially while saying Pakistani musicians are better.
Jal is a average band with very basic guitar playing. Fuzion, Call, strings, junoon and guitarist Faraz Anwar I have listened and make great music.

Noor Jehan was a rival of Lata . Does India have answer for NFAK? Rahet? Shafqat amanat ? Nazia hassan ? . These days music from both countries is mostly derived form coke studio and that's where you get new comers and upcoming musicians . And Pakistan happens to be better at it . I mean India has a history of copying our songs . Doesn't that make us better automatically ? Your musicians like Pritam are renowned for plagiarism and copying . Pakistani Music has revolutionised each genre Nazia hassan did it for pop music in south asia , Abida perveen did it for sufi NFAK did it for qawwali , Strings/junoon started the band revolution and what not .

Famous doesn't equate to quality . Even if we go by fame Atif aslam is probably the most famous singer from subcontinent .
