US not to sell F-35 fighter jets to Arab countries

Nope by showing the reality. Truth does hurt, and it is quite apparent

Pakistani Challenging ? LOL what ? Are you high on weed or something ?
And he's continuing....
Cant believe a Pakistani is challenging an Israeli on military affairs and terchnology.

Astonisghing

Israelis are a great military power... AND A KEY ALLY of india
And so is India to Israel.
Israel know that one day F35 will be delivered to hostile hands, and that's why it's insisting of integrate it's system into the plane, to make it better.
Israel and U.S shared great success in working together on F15 and F16 weaknesses and problems in the past too

US not to sell F-35 fighter jets to Arab countries: Report Published May 6, 2016 SOURCE: PRESS TV The US has given Israel categorical assurances that it will not deliver F-35 stealth multirole fighter jets to Arab states to beef up their aerial power, a report says.According to the Hebrew-language daily Maariv, Washington had confirmed to Tel Aviv that this type of aircraft “will be exclusively allocated for Israel in the Middle East.” The newspaper further said Israeli authorities are wary of the fact the sale of F-35 military aircraft to Arab countries would chip away at the “technological superiority of Israel in the region.” There are reports that Washington is mulling the sale of fifth-generation F-35 aircraft to Qatar and Kuwait. US military officials have already announced that they will maintain a quality gap in favor of Israel in such a case.

I don't know if this is a good strategy. The Arab sates have plenty of billions of dollars to spend and even waste for nothing. Denying them a 5th gen platform will make them spend that money funding the Chinese, or Russian or Turkish 5th gen platform projects, or worst yet, build their own. Either way, its like $ 100 billion or more that the US could make, but it won't.

A better decision would be to sell a lower end version of the F-35 to Arab states and still maintain a gap with Israel that way, by giving them a more advanced version. Just my opinion.

What will this version include? no stealth version? lesser capabilities? I don't think it's quite possible.
The U.S should decide if selling this plane to the gulf nations would suit it interests or not.
One thing is sure, that few Israeli contribution to this program won't be available to the gulf states

First of all even if they have top of the line equipment arabs, I highly doubt they can challenge he supremacy of IAF. IAF has come long way from developing tactics and what not. AN entire Arab air force can barely stand a day against them.

You think that China does it alone? or Russia? David's Sling is already superior than any other SAM.
Point is to make the best, and not alone.

That's a point, but still not enough, I am talking about the price of the avionics and other parts themselves. not their construction.
the Indians actually do work with Israel, we are a western country. Israel is the 2nd biggest weapon exporter to India.

Not talking about its engine, talking about its design.
The design seems fine to me, J31 has a straight thin wing root and straight bay doors,The f35's wing root is thick and it has angled bay doors. On -topic: I am pretty sure if F-35 is successful than they will be sold to KSA

I agree with David sling.

USA WILL SELL F35 with varying technology.

I've Israel uk top tier technology

ARABS DOWNGRADED TECHNOLOGY.

THANKS TO JEWISH LOBBY IN WHITEHOUSE

They are called traitors.
You wouldn't even type this if it wasn't for Israel
Probably raping a donkey or something like that.
Oh sorry, I think you're still doing that, you just got owned by @DavidSling, your pathetic 8 words replies are just useless.

I am pretty sure Israel will not let them, as many technologies in it are Israeli, from the helmet to other avionics.

And I am pretty sure it delayed responding for years since 2010.

Considering the amount of investment by other partners, compared to the contribution by Israel, I doubt Israel will be in a position to block anything.

Gulf buyers eye future purchases of Lockheed's F-35 jet

For the first time, U.S. government and industry officials also spoke about the process under way to allow the sale of the Lockheed jet to the Gulf - probably about five years after Israel receives its first F-35 fighter jets in 2016.

U.S. policy guidelines call for Israel to maintain a competitive military edge.
...

Douglas Barrie of the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London said Lockheed could be trying to stall any European purchase to buy time to complete development of the F-35, and get through the U.S. approval process.

In past competitions "when they looked like they weren't going to win with their current offering ... the strategy process went from 'Let's win this' to 'Let's delay it'," he said.

No near-term F-35 sales in Gulf region: Pentagon

The United States expects no near-term sales in the Gulf region for the F-35 warplane, saying current fourth-generation military aircraft with new upgrades are capable of handling the threats the region faces, the Pentagon said on Sunday.

"I do not anticipate any near-term sales for the F-35 in the region," Frank Kendall, U.S. Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisitions, Technology and Logistics, told reporters in Abu Dhabi.

"I think it would be a very sensitive sale to try to bring about for a lot of reasons."

The IAF has and will always remain above all the Arab air-forces. That's just the reality. My post wasn't challenging that. My thing was, I'd like the $ 100 billion or more from the Arab countries to go to the United States of America :enjoy:

Dont worry, they have enough fighters now, just up grade them if they have money and wait for KFX/IFX coming

2019 is the time for maiden flight according to recent plan.

Just as we sold some Israeli drones to the Chinese and because of few American parts we had to recall it, the same will be on the F35.
Anyways, if Trump will be elected, and I hope he will, he will never sell it to Arab countries.
Especially Saudi Arabia, as he had a "fight" between their prince and such.
And the Israelis are producing over 800 wings for the jet, all of their HUD helmets are Israeli
In July 2012, the Pentagon awarded Lockheed Martin $450 million to improve the F-35 electronic warfare systems and incorporate Israeli systems on the jet.
