Bulgaria refuses to join NATO Black Sea fleet against Russia

@flamer84 @xenon54

Yep, most medias and politicians in here are talking how this is all done for Turkey to rule over the Black sea and how Romanians are their vassals who are chasing their interests with Bulgaria just losing from all this. It is expected tho as most politicians and medias are pro- russian and just because russian money and azz is too sweet for them. :D

Well....no surprise for us back here. We're only a little puzzled that they showed their true colors so fast.Common brigades with Bulgarians and Hungarians my a$$! Keep our boys separated from those backstabbers,I say !

if they had accepted it would have been just a token gesture.

Bulgarian navy is obsolete.

if NATO wants them to 'contain' Russia they'll have to give them some better ships

Or they could raise their Defence expenditure to 2% like we did and start modernising their Armed Forces.

I have a very good Serbian friend, he said that there were stories told everywhere that NATO threw thousands of venomous snake eggs from planes during war over Serbia so that it would kill their soldiers.

Just to give a glimpse how far anti west propaganda gone back then.

Somebody should tell them that we probably have the most incapable FP at the moment. :D

In the last years Russians are waging a strong propaganda war in the internet, in our medias, on Facebook (the same in all Europe though). Hundreds of new internet news sites and profiles sharing them were created in the last few years. If you have never read a pro- russian bulgarian internet site, you will probably never know what propaganda really is. :D That thing with the snakes is nothing compared to things I have seen shared on Facebook. :D Most news are about how Turks, Westerners, Jews, Islamists and Americans are all having a plan to destroy Bulgaria with the help of their servents in Bulgaria. Others are about the only protector of Christianity and Slavs- Matuchka Rossiya and her leader Saint Vova Putin. There was an article about how Vladimir Putin promised to give back (WTF?) Constantinople to his Bulgarian brothers soon. There was an article about the new russian space laser weapon that can destroy whole countries. There is a lot more examples but I don't have time to write... :D

@flamer84 What's up between Hungary and Romania ?

So,was there any change this year ? Last year you told me that your politicians comprised the salaries in the expenditures to reach 2%. :P

Why is every little country in eastern europe trying to piss of Russia lately? At least one is behaving. It's good for your future.

We are told that by the end of the year/early 2017 Romania will sign the following contracts:

-40 new self propelled howitzers
-second squadron of F16's (12 fighters)
-modernisation with new AA,AntiShip missiles for the 2 type 22 frigates
-new APC's (600-800)-Patria,Iveco SuperAV,Mowag Piranha are the contenders
-54 new MLRS with 150km range
-medium range AA systems (4-6 batteries)

They also bought some 1000 Spike MR missiles in Jan 2016

Also....for the next 5-7 years Romania issued RFI's for long range AA systems,276 new tanks ,4 new corvettes

Historical grudges and the fact that a couple of months ago we arrested some Hungarian yahoos planning to blow up gas pipes doesn't help either....

planning to blow up gas pipes
That's crazy, aren't you both an EU member and European? :)

Glad that at least one country that isn't going along with the 'let's push for war with Russia' agenda.

after ukraine episode, eastern european countries should go slow.. not show too much bravado and foolishness.

Yep like that...I see that Turkey likes to entertain the clowns....

Well,we are but they have a few clowns. Not to smart though, gathering and talking about how they'll blow this and that all the while monitored by the Secret Service...All they'll be blowing now is some gypsie pimp for the next 20 years in jail.

It's thanks to Hungary we're not the fattest country in Europe any more!

Especially after Ukraine,Eastern European states should band together against Russia's agressive imperialistic agenda.

I like Hungary because they make me feel better about us. It's thanks to them we're not the fattest country in Europe any more!

All in all,Hungary is a nice country. But,as Romanians,we must be real...we can coexist but we won't be friends.

Not likely though given the stance of the Visegrad (Poland excluded)

Guy is the leader of Hungary's third largest party in the National Assembly, worth listening though I can't say he's pro-EU:
