It's high time we should realize the intensity of humanitarian crisis in Syria.
After watching the pictures of martyred children on the shores of Turkey, one can't help but get sick.

The process should be done under a proper organized system which I'm sure GoP and our intelligence agencies could device. This should be unlike the Afghan refugee process which was such a horrible mess that we are still paying for it.

It is worth noting that Syrians should not be treated as Afghans.Syrians won't be miscreants and thankless people like the Afghans. The general public of Syria are peace loving and educated unlike most Afghans which were uneducated and uncivilized.

We can't close our eyes like this.If we are working so hard for our internal security and to secure the future of our children, then the Syrians are also our children and they are also as innocent as our Peshawar martyers.

I am sure that the people of Pakistan have the spirit and will to accommodate a few thousands if the GoP takes the initiative.

At last,I would specially request all the PDF members.
If anyone from you has a voice in circles of the higher ups, your voice can reach our diplomats or your writings can be published in any newspaper or you have a Facebook page with a good number of audience, please write and create the awareness and mount the pressure.
I would also request the Indian members to raise a voice in your country that there is a huge humanitarian crisis somewhere in our planet.

As much as I hate what's going on in Syria Iraq and libya, we just can't afford another refugee situation... There is a reason why every country in the area around Myanmar told their fishermen to not even give a bottle of water to the migrants and refugees sitting on ships bvz refugees is an expensive mess that cripples the economy, effects the social progress of the country , takes up resources that could go into betterment of the people of pakistan... The developed countries of EU are hesistant on taking refugees.

Pakistan is a weak economy that's starting back after five years of incompetent rule, over a decade of war, is still fighting a war, taking care of refugees for the last the thirty years and you want to put another burden on pakistan...

My heart bleeds for them but not the expense of my nation.. We cannot and I repeat cannot and I will repeat again CANNOT afford to take care of refugees..

You want to see a prosperous Pakistan free from all ailments then we must forgo the concept of taking every countries burden in the name of ummah. The very countries we bleed our blood for wouldn't take our side in the smallest of issues.

Humanity, aid is one thing. Refugees is a hell that we cannot afford. Right now our mission should be to remove all refugees in pakistan. Not increase their number.

Give them food, aid, blankets e.t.c but not a place in pakistan.

Why not ?

After all what is Ummah for ?

How about BD too ? They too are more Muslim than KSA

But the issue is, will Syrians want to come to Pakistan and / or BD ?

Seems they prefer EU
lots of Syrians have come to India as well..

Why take a free jab at the 'ummah' concept ?
I have read ur posts and frankly, you seem one wicked personality.

Wake up, there is no such thing called UMMAH, only national interests and strategic goals. If there was anything called Ummah, then Syria has UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, KSA, Egypt who are far more near and far more richer than Pakistan.

Pakistan has nothing to do with Syria, and already has a lot to look after its own self. Fck this ummah sh!t and move on, we are not responsible for every sh!t happening in Muslim world.

Your points are valid but can we be so selfish ?
Yar toddlers are being killed like chickens.
How about a few thousand refugees ?
We won't take millions of them like Afghans.

Or GCC can take them since GCC is spending billions on terrorist to destroy Syria.

Mate, yesterday on one of the forum I discussed this issue. I have sent an emails to several authorized departments in Pakistan, one in particular the CM of KPK office. But, unfortunately I haven't heard a word from them yet.
The reason that I can think off could be that we should admit that we are racist. We cannot tolerate our own Country men than how can we even imagine that we will tolerate Syrians. I will try once more in order to convince them that the Syrians are in dire need. If we are no longer extending Afghan refugees stay here which is due to expire on the 31st of December this year, least we can do is to accommodate at least 100 thousand of Syrian Refugees.
There are roughly 6 million Afghans currently living here in Pakistan. If we make them to leave with respect, we can easily accommodate 100 thousand of them, I have spoken to my dad and he said we can empty the 2nd level of our home if they ever come to Pakistan, they are most welcome.
We need to be more openhearted as they literary are struggling for their lives.

Leaving emotions aside, that child's family was not fleeing war torn Syria but was fleeing the safe country of Turkey . You think that they want to come to Pakistan ? These are economic migrants.

Then you should also stop bleeding your hearts for Palestinians / Kashmiris in the name of Ummah

Being a father of a son who is aged same as the kid who was washed ashore, my heart melted after watching those horrible pics. But do you really think Pakistan can do anything about this Syrian refugee crisis practically? We are far far away from them, already bearing burden of millions of Aghan refugees for over 3 decades who still aren't willing to go back to their land, are in a deep economic mess and what not?

This isn't about humanity or ummah, its about survival of our own. We are into an effing war goddamned. Our own kids are being slaughtered and here we are bragging about giving refuge to others.

Good to see human beings like you..
Yep that's my point.
What bad are a few thousand innocent refugees as compared to the 6 million Afghans ?
