You guys actually don't know a lot about Ramp modeling. Ramp models are not supposed to smile or bring attention to their face. The focus is on the clothes and how it drapes on their figures, which is skinny to the max (Size zero). Hence the angry (some would say snooty) look.

Ramp models typically don't have buxom features either - for the same reason. This is the same concept in all countries.

The customers and clientele for buxom curvy models are men.

The customers and clientele for pricey womens' clothes (haute couture) presented with ramp models are of course women.
