Bigger ships sink easily ........................Don't let your elder tell you it's a old cliche.

There is no question india has bigger armed forces then Pakistan... fun fact perhaps Pak only country who not only stood up but brought the enemy which is 10 times bigger on knees many times during the history ...We might be small against india but don't let the quantity fool you over quality....there will be new bruises n cuts once the smoke fade away ..

Wishing all my homies on PDF N around the world Very happy Eid ....Enjoy

ABM:lol: what from across the border

:disagree::rofl:and you think subs are that easy to track and destroy

You wont have any india left by the time you realise we have fired our first weapon:lol:
no your wrong dont trust me ask any of your "expert" about it specially the detecting power and range of all such indian radars & sats facinc pakistan do you know how much time it takes say a raad or babur to reach its intended target and the opposition it faces to get to its target and whats the same for say indian missiles like bhramos , shurya or pragati , prithvi ? think about it or try googling it ;)

Who said just nukes we can target your cities without using nuckes

Blocade of karachi is a red kine idiot

ok... and your cities are very safe right???? Attacking civilians with missiles will have the implications big time remember that.. and tat escalate the war into new level

It would take a couple of anti ship missiles to render a ship out of service and couple of more to sink it. Our submarines and JF-17s with dedicated anti shipping role should do the job while we are waiting to get better surface vessels and newer subs.

@Rashid Mahmood

Gee, then I wonder why nations have warships and navies at all. Just buy JF-17s and anti-ship missiles.

Let me just give a word of advice to my Pakistani friends. This is what Iran has learnt. If you want to have a great military, great space program etc, you must first have a great economy. Iran had great ambitions but the weak economy due to sanctions prevented those. So Pakistan must first concentrate in its economy. Don't try and get involved in an arms race without first giving top priority to your economy.

Pakistan also need 25+ warship Navy and a squadron of long range Naval fighter/bombers. Looks like the Naval era is back as the mineral exploitation of the sea bed accelerates around the world due to the technological advancements.
The new battlefield is the blue waters of the seas and oceans. He who controls them is the Lord of the Rings! :big_boss:

India measures 3,214 km (1,997 mi) from north to south and 2,933 km (1,822 mi) from east to west. It has a land frontier of 15,200 km (9,445 mi) and a coastline of 7,517 km. Now that is a a big area to cover and defend as compared to Pakistan who has very small area to defend . Secondly Pakistan Naval strategy is moving towards offensive defense. And most likely towards underwater doctrine , you will see dozens of carrier killer weapons soon in Pakistan Navy possession.

same goes for Russia , they also prefer underwater doctrine as compared to USA which mostly relies in airpower/ carriers

U.S. Has the largest nuclear sub fleet as well. U.S., Russia comparisons different from India Pakistan comparison. How Pakistan navy deal with India will become a diplomatic issue soon.

In this case, USN is in control of Indian Ocean. All others use Indian Ocean with our permission.

They think the JF is a panacea for all their problems as they are under the impression that it is as lethal as the Bird Of Prey, a craft straight out of Star Trek!! Jeeez!

Sure and hopefully we will increase our economy in the next few years

In the meantime time we just cant wait its why the plans for so much hardware

So when we improve the economy we will have the resources to boost iur defence even further

@Rashid Mahmood

How large a force they'll field against Pakistan? All 200 ships?

I don't think Pakistan has the will or wherewithal to engage India in the seas. They can however play to their strong points Army and to some extent the Air Force.

But, Karachi...hmm... will be easy pickings.

So what

Trying to blocade karachi is a red line that we will not tolerate expect to lose millions if you are that stupid

Buy what you can afford only. Pakistan is a nuclear power, no one will attack her. So you can spend your time to develop the economy. Once your economy is powerful, you can buy/develop everything you need.

Yes ABM from across the border..:bunny::bunny:

Tough to track not difficult to destroy.. and do you know in how many IOR counries are hosting INdian radars and listening posts ??? .... From Oman, sechels, Madagascar, Maldives, Mauritius , A&N, in future lakshadweep... no way to escape from them kid

Yes, Pakistan has some few good 4-8 F-22P warships, some boats, and old submarines. India has been tremendous building very fast on their ships every year, is Pakistan always have zero warships, why we don't pay attention? o_O

Please don't discuss we are going to induct 8 Chinese new submarines soon.

Let's focus on what will Pakistan develop new own warships and projects plan aside from JF-17 and F-16 upgrading. Read below

Indian Navy aiming at 200-ship fleet by 2027

NEW DELHI: The Indian Navy is aiming to have a 200-ship fleet by 2027 as per a maritime capability perspective plan in order to guard interests and assets of the nation in waters around them, a top Naval officer said today.

The Navy, which has 137 ships and submarines under its command, has been at the forefront of indigenisation, and is also in "exploratory talks" with Russia to see if some of the ships can be built with their collaboration so as to "expedite" the process.

"There is a maritime capability perspective plan. As per that, there are certain number of ships that we have to build by a particular timeline. Today we have 137 ships and submarines... our aspiration is to become a 200-ship Navy (by 2027)," Vice Chief of Navy Vice Admiral P Murugesan told reporters here when asked about the force's aims.

On cooperation with Russia, he said the Navy was in talks for 3 Grigorivich-class frigates, an improved version of the six Talwar-class frigates the Navy obtained between 2003-13.

"As of now, it is only in exploratory domain. As and when decided, it will be under make in India," he clarified.

The Vice Chief noted that the road ahead is not easy as on an average for every 2-3 ships inducted, one from the existing lot retires due to age, and underlined that navies have to be maintained and they cannot be created overnight.

"It is a catch up game. It will take time and it will not be very easy. I would like to see 200 ships. Wherever our trade and interest are taking place, we should take care of our needs in those areas," he said adding that India does not need 1,000 ships for that.

Murugesan confirmed that a high-level committee of the Defence Ministry has submitted its report identifying shipyards capable of executing the about-Rs 60,000 crore project of building the next six conventional submarines under Project P75I. A Request for Proposal (RFP) would be issued soon in this regard.

He also mentioned that an RFP would also be issued for the procurement of two deep-sea rescue vessels.

Asked if the Navy will go in for additional Scorpene submarines apart from the six being built currently in Mumbai, he said the answer can only be guesswork at the moment as the Navy will have to look into the entire capacity, capability and other ongoing projects like P75I and the building of six nuclear submarines sanctioned early this year.

The officer said the six nuclear submarines to be built will be finished in lesser time than what other navies normally take.

Asked about the delay in procurement of torpedos and helicopters for the Navy, he said everything was under process.

He refused to comment on India's nuclear submarine Arihant, which is expected to undertake missile test later this year.

The Vice Chief also refrained from disclosing details about the Long Range Surface-to-Air Missile, the next generation Barak missile, saying it would be "proved" soon.

The missile, being built in collaboration with Israel, is set to be test fired from a ship soon.

Asked how the force was preparing against cyber attack, he said an elaborate organisation has been set up within the Navy to tackle the threat.

Must say I am very impressed.
If the Govt. doesn't go for 100% privatization of Govt. assets then everything will be reined even the funds for running military won't be available. Even now everything is being imported like Toffees, other food products, medicine as simple as Paracetamol which is a bit expensive but better one, cars and especially electronics.
