Pakistan again under pressure to join Saudi coalition

I can see that. TTP and all the other problems aren't enough for Pakistan, why don't you add sectarian strife to it? Plays right into the hands of those who want to split up your country. I hope people like you aren't the majority of Pakistan. Otherwise China is better off investing it's money building villas on the moon.
That is the problem buddy Pakistan is the second largest shia country we cannot jump in this sectarian war and besides Saudia asked for sunni soldiers only while Pak army is 30 % Shia

Ha , thanks ! ... OK , so public opinion moulding has begun! Now it only a matter of time. Wait and watch.
That is where things get funny
PressTV - Pakistani protesters condemn Saudi aggression against Yemen
Even the protests have a sectarian nature

Aside from the fact that no country should be a mercenary for another country that started a war, this is one more big reason for Pakistan not to do it. Allah and Mohammed have nothing to do with it. If anything, Mohammed would behead the entire Saudi family for starting a war on it's Arabian neighbour. And for being a royal family of course:D

Tell that to the mullahs

I'm Pakistani from Azad Kashmir. No, I don't know of these ''weekly'' demonstrations. I'm sure you're going to give me proof of this?

Bhai, grow up, there is no need to be insulting to every Indian just because. You know perfectly well what I mean - there are a LOT of anti American and anti Indian protests in your country. Asad Kashmir reads everything as though it was scripture, so if the term "weekly" is used, it must mean occurring every 7 days - this is silly and pointless to argue with someone whose only exposure to argument and logic is religious.

Ofcourse no country has protests every 7 days, sometimes you have one every day and sometimes you go without for months. Juvenile misinterpretation does not make you sound so clever.

Anyways, i don't want to go on with this kind of pointless discussion, especially when in all probability you are keeping your fast.

Thank you - looks like the beginning of the end ! Too bad.

So according to you there have been no anti American or anti Indian protests in Pak? Our media was playing us?

You made a claim that anti-Amrika and anti-India demonstrations take place on weekly basis, now onus is on you to prove it.

Or just accept your mistake that you exaggerated it greatly.

It seems Saudi keep hoping that Pakistan may join since some Pakistani leaders have been privately supporting them. These Pakistani politicians should realize that they are harming Pakistan by giving two minded signal to Saudis.

Hi,
Please don't bring Sunni Shia into this, we have suffered enough because of this rift. Nations have faced devastation because of this, I don't want Pakistan to go down the same way, in fact I don't want Pakistan to go down at all.

No one wants to see Pakistan go down,
but the truth of the matter is that the rationale built by media and other political parties for NOT going in that war
was predicated on Shia Vs Sunni game.

You are welcome to go through those media outlets etc.

Listen Saudi, why don't you openly admit you see the Pakistanis as slaves? Shia? So a Sunni would applaud Pakistan to go fight a war other people started? All the while the country isn't the most healthy itself?

I am not a Saudi.

I am a Pakistani, a very pragmatic Pakistani.

True, but it was done to stop a Sunni Shia clash, however we need to bring up a unity between these two sects at least in Pakistan, but by calling a Shia emotional isn't really a wise thing to do :(. You know what the British used to call us.....

So, you are asserting that the media highlighted the Sunni Shia divide to stop a shia sunni clash ?

I thought Army was a national institution, and the only interest that mattered was National interest.

That national interest dictates that we avoid becoming another Iraq or Syria a playground for Saudi and Iran to play there games....
Lets face it in the Middle East it is a sectarian fight between Shias and Sunnis...
Involvement there would mean Pakistan taking sides in that fight..
You only have to look at the people advocating for our involvement in Yemen basically all pro-taliban sectarian religious parties...
The Saudi ministers on their visit to Pakistan even met these same groups and used these sectarian groups to build pressure on the govt.

No, the fear of a Sunni Shia divide, let's agree situation in Pakistan is much better than say Iraq. It's better if we keep it like that

There always been tension between Sunnis and Shias in Pakistan. But the use of weapons started during the Afghan war when weapons flooded to extremist organizations. Saudis financed Wahhabis also used Madrasahs to brainwash militants to attack Shias in Pakistan. Mughal Emperor Akbar also got frustrated by constant tension between Shia and Sunni courtiers and was one of the reason he created Din-e-Ilahi.
