What's new

Turkish Special Operations Forces

IMO exercise with paintball logic can improve our soldiers more... Because in paintball logic there is an intelligent target/ enemy against you... I think it's the closest exercise to real warfare... I don't say let other exercises aside, i say it should be added and this kind of exercises should be so much...

Airsoft would be better.

In the two pictures below you can see that one of the operators is wearing an Ops-Core helmet.(But i think it is fake because it isn't supposed to glare like that.)

Officially only the Delta Force members called as "operator". The other ones are not...

Also they are wearing Pro-tec carbon helmets. The are using during the trainings and parachuting exercises...

Thank you for the information. You are right they are wearing Pro-tec helmets but one of them is wearing what seems to be an Ops-Core helmet.

It looks like the training model because of the brightness and fixed NVG shroud on it. For the ops-core they have base jump non ballistic model for the taining issues. But this one does not looks like it. Probably a different brand who are using the same shape of ops core hemets...

If we look more detailed, ıt has vizor on it. None of the ops-core type helmets has ıntegrated vizor on it. It's the emerson made replica fyber ops-core type helmet for trauma protection only. Probably they started to buy these models for pro-tec ones...

BTW the FN Minimi s used on boats are chambered in 7.62x51mm . They finally changed their old M60 machine guns with these models...

I am the DENO who is one of the moderators of TRMilitary and has active accounts of MP, themess, IACMC Militaria, *************, gearsoc and Devsix. Without these forums, ı have no official account...

An interesting photo from a Police Special Operations exhibition

On the first shelf you can see a Steyr AUG,on the fourth shelf you can see an USAS-12 fitted with a drum magazine and if you look to the left you can see the stock of a FN 2000.I couldn't figure out whats above the FN 2000 and below the USAS-12 so if you do let me know.

The USAS are used by PÖH teams of Diyarbakır, still in service but not so common. The Police is using mostly sarsılmaz made Baba/Cobra series shotguns, they are not commonly used by the way, mainly anti-riot role with plastic shells..

The other ones are bought in less numbers just for testing. It's a pretty common think. Done by most of the well known special units. Not only these types of rifles. Even the SIG 540 series rifles used by PÖH teams of Istanbul for testing few years ago..

BTW it's Steyr AUG HBAR squad support ifle model of the rifle series with longer and heavier barrel and bipod. On the F2000 you can see the fixed stock of the Sten Mark V smg. Also next to the model the American AN/PVS-4 passive night vision scope just made after Vietman War. Some really f*king oldscool stuff is here 8-)
