Arabs slam Pak stand on Yemen and Call on Pakistani Parliament to Fall in Line

Arabs are so used to cheap Pakistani laborers all these years . They even want them to fight Arab wars to the last Pakistani blood.

While Pakistanis dream themselves as leaders of the Muslim world. In the eyes of the Arab muslims , Pakistanis worth nothing more than hench men who do bidding for few pittance of Riyals.

You have no idea how indians and bangladeshis are treated there .. We Pak are still better off .. As compared to you guys..

True story -- "wobbles his head".

Frankly I would NOT want our women getting married to these people but that's not the point. The ban smacks of prejudice and humiliates Pakistani. The underlying message is Pakistani are untouchables.

I have my conclusions but you might not agree...
I see the reason as follow:
1- Shia fiqh is very much emphasizing on logic and "ما حکم به العقل، حکم به الشرع" .... I had a very diverse study a few months back... Shia scholars are more of science based... logic... philosophy... Kalam (Science of reasoning)...

2- Shia spiritual leaders are mostly very much modern and mostly are aware of other sciences... Most Mojtahids in Iran and Iraq (Sistani, Khamenei, Behjat, khorasani, Lankarani, Fazlallah in Lebanon) are comprehensive religious hakims... they study science, politics, social sciences, etc.... this makes them think twice before any fitva or speeches... Shias are loyal to these spiritual men... what they preach has an effect on shia people even to illiterate shias in rural areas...

3- I once was in a summer camp when I was in high school... there were 3 Sunni campers from Baluchistan in our tent... they had very much the same kind of reasoning as today's Takfiris...

4- Shia has an element in their sector called "the rule of time and place in Fiqh".. every year or so... shia senior religious mullahs gather up to discuss changes need to be done into Ahkam and Fiqh due to the changes TIME (21th century) and PLACE (what country, what geopolitical situation, etc) in world and our lives...

5- the main influential centers of shia world are Iran and Lebanon, Azerbaijan and Iraq... most of people of these countries are literate and relatively modern with international standards in their way of thinking..and their connection with global culture... this has its own influence on other shias from different backgrounds...

6- Main characters of shia people are prophet muhammad (pbuh), Imam Ali (a.s) and Imam Hussein (a.s)... the majority of these characters' teachings are of MERCI (Rahma) to weaker people... helping poorer ones... taking the side of Mazloom where ever they are...

There are few other reasons but this is what I remember from my research and it might be wrong...but this is what I came to...

Well its clear Shias are much more progressive than sunnis and it takes being nonchalant to sect or ethnicity to admit these kinds of things. I am a mahajir sympathetic to pashtuns, a sunni sympathetic to shias and a Pakistani sympathetic to Iran in many respects so even when I try to be neutral some of my respect for Iran seeps through.

It is clear shias are more progressive. Even hezbollah is not against progress. They have made a game on the war with Israel and back certain populist policies. They also work for education and equality in Lebanon and have even Christian followers.

Your point 4 is very much like the ideal of ijtehad which our national poet Allama Iqbal promoted. It calls on regular discussions amongst the ummahs to discuss Islam according to modern times. It is something not only shias but every muslim should practice. The ijtehad debate used to start with a cleric saying "i may be wrong" then putting forward his view. They did not like the wahabis assume they were correct.

You have not replied to my questions. Have we made requests that were turned down by the Saudis? If yes, than I agree with you but if not, why are we blaming them for no help?

Secondly, financing military hardware etc., could have been discussed only if we agree to send our troops to bolster KSA's defense and free up their forces so they could take part in the offensive without concerning too much about the internal security. However, these things come from negotiations but if you simply shut the door in the first instance then what? China has perhaps helped you more (again I need to see some figures here) than Muslim ummah because she produces the military hardware and able to hand over to you on soft loans. What Muslim ummah produces that she will help you with? At any rate, during 1965, even Indonesia helped us so it appears to be a blanket statement that ummah never helped us. You are angry and agitated for whatever the reason and in your anger ignoring the help we have got for the Muslims countries.

I am sure Pakistan discussed these things with them. If Pakistan does commit troops, it is a given that they will ask for something in return. Now, let's discuss a simple issue, Kuwait and it's ban on Pakistanis for visas. Pakistan has requested them multiple times to lift the ban because it hurts those Pakistanis already living in Kuwait who cannot have their relatives visit them. Not a lot of Pakistanis visit or live in Kuwait anyway, yet the ban is in place. Why? They couldn't do that, you are seriously believing that they'll offer their military hardware? Pakistani armed forces are seriously short of cash. A loan 5 years ago, 10 years ago would've made a big difference. But we didn't see that coming.
You know the 1.5 billion USD change that KSA gave to Pakistan? Do you want to know what the KSA got in return? Shyt loads of land in Balochistan. Yes, you'll discover in due time....so don't be surprised then. These kind of things are done behind closed doors. So while they get to say KSA gave 1.5 billion USD to Pakistan, Arabs jumping up and down claiming they stabilized our currency. Yea, RIP modern economics. Now imagine the local distaste there would be if this was announced publicly that Pakistan is selling it's land to the Saudis.

And i am not even going to go towards the killing of protected birds in Pakistan, even though the law clearly forbids all.

This is a world where money talks and oil money talks a lot. What Pakistani's have to realise is Isam and Arabs is not the same thing. The oil Arabs treat Pakistani like dogs. I already posted how Oil Arabs provide $30 billion to India and Pakistan gets $8 billion. Could our country do with another $30? All the Saudi have to do is just allow only Pakistani citizens to get work permits. THe Europeans do it. EC only allows other EC citizens in.

However the Saudi kick us like as if we the Pakistani are dogs. Read this link. After reading this it makes mockery of so called 'Ummah' and a every Pakistani with 'Izzat' should put their down in shame. The SAudi humiliated us in front of the world. Note they even exclude India from this ban.

And I have no malice against any Saudi at a personal level or any member here but this is the reality. Arabs have to understand this and presure their governments to treat Pakistani at least like humans and if not as fellow Muslims.
You are not wrong and your anger is understandable. However, for the first time in Pakistan history does KSA (and other gulf states) are in such a dire need of Pakistan. Do you not think that we must use this opportunity to get most of the issues you have raised addressed? Should we slam the door closed or go ahead and negotiate better terms that would benefit us both in short and long term? Cant we discuss about increasing the manpower intake from Pakistan? and/or cajole the Arab investors to invest in Pakistan? A lot of things can be done but for that we have to talk to them. This is one such moment when they need us and we are in a position to give them rather than other way around. My friend this is not the time to dig out the dead bodies, in Urdu گڑے مردے اکھاڑنا۔ but to look forward.

Saudi Arabia: Men banned from marrying some expat women - BBC News

But men are apparently banned altogether from marrying expat workers from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Chad and Burma. Unofficial statistics say that Saudi Arabia, which already has a very large foreign workforce - some estimate it at nine million people or 30% of the population - has about 500,000 female residents from those four countries.

The move has raised eyebrows in the Gulf and Pakistani press. Comments on the the Pakistani Dawn newspaper site range from accusing the kingdom of racism to suggesting "our women are safe now". And the Saudi Gazette asks why women from these four countries are singled out in particular. The Saudi government has not commented officially on the report.

Shame, Shame, Shame.
It takes time and great sacrifice to build unity. The Europeans fought many wars and then they had 2 World Wars after that they came about the unity part. Even the Europeans took 70 years to reach to a Single Europe.

How we see the Europeans today may be possible for the Arab's, but not overnight. They have be divided over many issues but one day they would over come these but not today.

As a Sunni, I look at the majority Iranians and my Sunni hometown and I realize that there is a difference of approach to religion. Shiasim by relying on Imams and etc has made Islam less regid. There is more innovation and flexibility in Shiasm. By its definition, sunnism is more traditional.

Now, as a religions idea, it makes sense that Sunnism is more True, which I guess is why Sunni muslim leaders usually have such hate for shias (I can even see it among my community).

However, as a 21st century religion, it becomes more adaptable to the modern era.

Obviously, this is not a Sunni vs shia debate from my side because I'm not a theologian, I don't even pray, and I don't really care about the religious differences. But their EFFECT on people does fasinate me.

I read about 40% of the Iranian population is sunni and in the past in the UAE I have come across such sunnis though i did not ask about their political views.

I think we sunnis need to stop looking at shias as enemies. That would be perhaps the first step to resolving this ever increasing dispute. I think having a large population of minorities helps any country love its people more and respect the diverse make up of the country. I haven't seen Iranians to be as abusive to sunnis as Saudis are to shias.

I think first and foremost to resolve this dispute we need to begin talks under the banner of ijtehad.

“Pakistan should play a mediating role and not get involved in fighting in Yemen.”
So where are the mediators? When I was a kid Pakistani diplomats would engage as active mediators within hours of such a crisis.

So who is responsible for all this? KSA or our own people? When you go out for shopping do you buy the merchandise for whatever the price from the first shop or do you try to cut a better deal? Now if you do not and bring home a bad and overpriced merchandise, should the blame go to you or the merchant?

Why should Pakistan listen to Iran, cant Pakistan decide on its own?
we are just making alot out of it? even iran has issued similar warning to us in the past. even thought of attacking us on boarder issues.

point is what has the arabs done for us both Pakistan and turkey , how can they demand an army when they themselves hold no special relation with us?..if they are thinking of a few million dollars of aid than they are more idiots than i thought.

Pakistan is a nation of South Asia region not a slave of fucking Arabs. Befitting reply should be prepared to let the sand fucks know what there place is and should refrain from demanding to command the people of subcontinent.

So where are the mediators? When I was a kid Pakistani diplomats would engage as active mediators within hours of such a crisis.

Pakistan and Turkey can be ideal mediators in this crisis but at the moment Arabs are like "with us or against us" mood. You are more like asking a mediator between US and Taliban just after 9/11. Not really the atmosphere.

P.S. Interesting new avatar!

dear sir Iran's progressiveness lies in the social fact that their female population is much more than men so they can;t afford them to keep them at homes. They are much narrow minded and have malice against other sects specially Wahabis. Even their Govt threatned Pak many times despite the fact unrest in Sistan is result of same policies adopted by many arabs against non arabs in their countries. Pak has helped Iran so many times and not agreed with US to start terror campaign against Iran in the past( Ref Mirza Aslam Baig former COS Pak Army).
Pakistan has clear proofs of Iran's involvement in attempts to sabotage Gawadar Port project and spread sectarinism in Pak same is case with KSA.

Both Iran and KSA should try to become friend of Pak and not try to become masters as by the grace of Almighty Allah Pak is still at large non sectarian country and majority believes in unity of Muslims. Mr Siraj ul Haq head of JI even called Govt to invite Houti leaders to Pakistan for peaceful settlement of Yemen issue, however at most Iranis have negative reviews against Pak and other Muslim countries. I wonder what type of Islamic revolution came to Iran. Allah may save Pak from such revolution.

I consider both Iran and KSA leaders as sectarian vultures having blood of thousands of innocent Muslim children, women & men of Syria, Lebanon, Yemen and Pakistan on their hands. Please give no respect to them in the end first time Pak Govt has taken right step to remain neutral.

Your avatar representing the the first and second country that were made only on religious grounds looks promising.

Things mostly work on telephone now no need to fly too and fro.
