Major breakthrough on naval reactor + propulsion system

It is possible because PN is working on its since Mush era.

I said that because.. it takes 14 conventional vessels to keep a nuclear submarine on standby.Pakistan has only 11-12 right now in a fleet. Only after F22P arrive, which you have recently ordered, you will be able to send it on trials. :) And this will take 5 years.

See bold quoted part in post number 39, that is said to be the way PN have taken as stop gap measure for getting 2nd strike capability but there are also said to be working for SSBN for future.

But it not coming within next 5 years that's for sure. Indian engineers knew how to build the reactor for submarine in 1990 only. But then It is not just about building it.

May be you are right, but Pakistan always take short and effective way to make sure that balance of power don't shift fully in our enemies side.

Great news.....series of good news coming now a days....@Rafi When do we expect the first of these subs to b inducted in PN?

Have heard from a very good source, that the miniaturized reactor/naval propulsion system and the various electrical systems have recently completed a key testing and reliability test, brothers assisted with various technical assistance.

It is all coming on line - with a version of S3, being further developed with MIRV the first SLBM.

Congratulations to the whole nation, for the effective birth of Pakistan Navy Strategic Force Command.
NSFC and our Second Strike Capability.

Pakistan Paindabad.
I have no idea about it..does it mean now we have second strike capability?

There were rumors that those things were in testing last year in another country, and PN don't want low range SLCM they want 2000+ range advance SLCM which will allow subs and ships to strike enemy from standoff position (Shoot & Scoot).

No biggy can be don't with little modification .

I had also heard it from very good source 2 years ago but can't confirm it. They told me that we can surprise IN with our new toy which is in testing and have western input.

Hmmm Western Input! seems something cooking between France and Pakistan. Our submarine program is supported and developed with the help of France.

Don't compare us with Indians. When ball is rolling in Pakistan its altogether a different approach. No one can beat us at Ad Hoc.

It may be help from France but not directly, may be through Brazil as they also want SSNs.

....... :whistle::whistle:

Kid, Pakistan's procurement works way different to India's....and i think they still didn't learn form the ill fated LCA project......we get what we want and when we want it according to our needs. No need for comparison with a useless procurement policy in India.

I say,a nuclear submarine for PN before 2022-25 will be a great achievement though personally i believe somehow we will get our first submarine around 2030(unless we lease one from china directly)
