What's new

Will separating the North East be better for everyone?

The incident you're referring to happened on directions by a military dictator whose ministers were beaten up by common people, for all the problems they put this country into, when their government was coming to an end, hence showing the hatred Pakistani people have for dictators.Thats when the Balochistan separatists came into light and its only so big in your mind now as its a dead issue here and things are being normalized for e.g a former separatist is now the CM of Balochistan. Whereas India as far as I remember has never been ruled by a military dictator and has always been a democracy I wonder why so many separatist movements there then?

Be it a dictator or a democratically elected government, the incident shows that how you people hate baluchis and this is the reason why they are demanding freedom. Terrorists movements in NE are not effective now and as a matter of fact number of people killed in NE is much lower then number of people killed/disappeared in Baluchistan. No wonder they are demanding freedom.

If by 'they' you mean a guy who ran away to geneva to save his own life and never returned ordering his personal guards to attack our Army and installations and get them killed, you sure make a convincing case for the independence of Balochistan. And as far as your north east is concerned the incidents mentioned are pretty recent and provided with news sources of your own country. If you choose to look away from reality be my guest.

Okay there, habshi. Face it you are charcoal black and angry at the world for that.

@ うきま i would request you to create a separate thread to address our grievances also :)

The way things are going in India, you may want to. Ask them first though.

Pakistani supreme court given death sentence to a woman for saying something against Islam.

The supreme court!!! lol

Do you think in Pakistan a woman can even say she is raped??? She will be punished by the court!!!! How u talk about India.

It will be the right thing at least..As an arunachali I wish the people of nagaland, manipur and other ne states achieve separation from mainlanders and join their rightful place in se asia or the rest of mongoloid nations.
I have a better idea, we can exchange the likes of you with Tibetans who don't want to live under the Chinese . Its a win win situation for both.

Not British it was Sardar Patel who made the nation India united.

So it's Patel that created the nation of India, not the British?

First of all, I have no intention of making this thread a fighting thread, I just want some proper discussions. I'm going to post some recent news about discrimination of people from the North East happening in India.

An engineering student from the northeastern state of Manipur was attacked in Bangalore last night by men who allegedly demanded that he "speak in the local Kannada language or get lost, this is India, not China".

Michael Lamjathang Haokip, who heads a Manipuri students' body, alleges that he and his friends were standing near a food stall when they were attacked with stones by the men. The attackers allegedly demanded to know why they were speaking in English.

There are the most recent news and are happening in consecutive days. Almost every people who have been to mainland (please don't get the word mainland wrong, just using it for better and easier understanding) have stories to tell how different we have been treated there including me, I personally do not believe racism in India will stop unless everyone does a plastic surgery to make us look like the other Indians. So, do you believe it will be best to separate North East from India? As I have said, just want to hear your thoughts. ;)

Sources : tntmagazine.in , northeasttoday.in , some facebook NEWS pages, my personal experience.

Given the pervasive racism against East Asian looking people, it's time for you guys to form a new nation. India was bind together by the
Brits anyway.

I can't breathe man. Did you type that with a straight face? You are from a country where women can't prove rape unless there are 4 bystanders jacking off and appear as witnesses (has it ever happened?). A country where you can have up to 4 wives for whatever reason without the women having any say. And you say ask them first???

My name is written in Hiragana which is a Japanese character. Why? My profile picture says it all Lol..

Some of you people thinks that racism happens to only a few unlucky people which I disagree. As I have said in the first post, almost every people have story to tell, let me tell you a few of mine, I did my first year of college in Punjab, as me and my room mate could not tolerate the racist attacks more, we both went home, I continued here in NE, I was robbed in a bus after they asked me if I'm from China. One of my friend was shot in Allahabad and almost died, but it was never mentioned in public. Many people just tends to keep their stories to themselves.

I agree with you mate, regionalism is still evident in India but its rare these days, and north east apart from Assam has seen such cases, I will blame separtist acitivites in those states too. But dont demand for a separate country.

This is our country and we will support each other.
